The authors of Prince of Persia:The Forgotten Sands should be beaten up with a rusty pipe. Why? Because the PoP:TFS is an insult to the usually pretty good Prince of Persia series! Although the platforming in Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was mostly decorative, it got me in the mood to play a PS2-style Prince of Persia game again, and luckily The Forgotten Sands was just sitting there ready for me to play it. I think that this title warrants reviewing, as many in my friend group are torn about whether or not it merits a playthrough. I read once on the internet that games published by Ubisoft tend to drop in price quicker than many other games. I never really paid attention, and then the newest Prince of Persia game (subtitled The Forgotten Sands) came out in May prior to the movie release from the franchise, and has since seen its price free-fall. After playing "Forgotten Sands" for a number of hours, I was left without any real enthousiasm for this game. The acrobatics are decent but the game's story is simply forgettable and dull. It seems everyone at Ubisoft has forgotten what made the "Sands of Time" a good single player game.
