Prince of Persia is an action adventure series created by Jordan Mechner in the late eighties. The original was a beloved 2D platformer, while the series' later incarnation in The Sands of Time set the bar for modern platforming and continues to influence games a decade later.

Ever since I could remember English accents in movies about ancient time have annoyed the crap out of me. Besides this, the most recent example I can think of is 300.

I'm a very very big fan of the original Prince of Persia trilogy.Love the story and different style of each game.Personally it's my favourite games of 6 sixth generation(like mgs is for other people).
That being said.I remain positive about this movie.I can bet that this movie will be good to say at least.
The only thing bothering me is that,it's obviously  that there will be more PoP movies.So why  take elements from all three games for a 'single'' movie?
I sure hope they won't go to crazy in the second movie.

This looks like a follow up to Pirates of the Caribbean.  That's not too surprising considering the people involved.  I'm sure it will do well as a big dumb summer movie.  But I personally have no interest in seeing this.

I know they keep claiming this is a Prince of Persia movie, but all I'm seeing is The Mummy IV: The Legend of the Time Knife.
 
Also, I really doubt you could hide a knife that size in your rectum.

Donnie Darko is not the Prince of Persia. this movie is invalid. 
 
....But still potentially amusing.
