When they announced it was Jake Gyllenhaal I was a little disappointed. From what I've seen of Lost, the actor who played Sayid would be be a better choice.

I don't understand why people think a person of Indian descent looks more Persian then that of a white man... All these racial stereotypes are pretty annoying.

you know the guy is Indian- British, its just as much of a  stretch for him to play a Persian than a white actor. Also you know these Hollywood movies have to have a star in them.

not really and even though i think naveen andrews is a decent actor, he's not better than jake gyllenhaal. seen brokeback mountain or zodiac?

The casting in the movie is one problem out of like 50.
