The achievements are tagged to this version of the game and not to the re-make (xbla/psn releases).
Maybe I'm just a dumbass, but this bugs the hell out of me for some reason. I've only gotten 1 achievement so far in this title...but due to this awesome new achievement linking I find myself going back to finish older games.
