Princess Gwaelin (Lady Lora in the original Japanese release) is the daughter of King Lorik. She was kidnapped by one of the DracoLord's minions and taken to the Swamp Cave southwest of Kol. The hero must defeat a Green Dragon in order to save her. Once this is done, he will carry her back to the castle (with a special sprite showing him holding her). Rescuing the princess is not required to complete the game, but doing so allows the hero to use Gwaelin's (Lora's) Love, a special item which tells him his location in relation to Tantegel Castle (and is very useful when searching for the Token of Loto).
