Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is, as the title suggests the third in the series since it dropped the International Superstar Soccer title. Its main innovations over previous titles was the introduction of manual pass using the stick direction to pass into space.

One interesting thing to note about this game is that even though Italian born referee pierluigi Collina is on the cover of the game, he is not actualy in the game has a referee or is neither mentioned at all, Pro Evolution soccer 4 also.
