I was delighted to find another co-op series to beat with my cuz. And since it isn't really new anymore, I can get Killzone 2 for about $10 shipped and Killzone 3 for about $25 shipped. Beat and sell... it's a great deal.

The Blockbuster 2-out plan includes blu-ray and games for the same price as my 2-out Netflix service that does not include games. The fact that Netflix is going to charge extra for the games service means it will surely not be as good of a deal. I haven't made the switch to Blockbuster yet, but it's on my mind. The reason is I don't rent games often. But to simply add a game to my rental queue and try it out for no extra charge...? That would be great. I'd probably start renting games more often.

I recently played the Killzone 3 demo cooperatively with my cousin. It was fun, and I decided I was going to buy it used. I decided I'd check out Killzone 2 to see if it'd be worth playing through that first. It looks like it is, so I decided to get that first. The thought process continued, and I looked into the original Killzone. Its lack of co-op and its old graphics were major turn-offs. Your write-up solidified my decision: skip Killzone and start with 2. Thanks.

I only had to watch the first part to instantly decide I wanted this game. I wasn't following it before.

These comments are hilarious. Can't wait to see half the people here playing BF3 when it comes out.
It's not exclusive to Origin.

I deleted the executable yesterday. I hadn't installed it yet.
Is there paragraph that says they can change the EULA whenever they want? That's what I'd look for. Companies change them all the time. The thing is, they can change it after they already have your data. It's not like you can delete the data from their systems by uninstalling Origin at that point.

What about buying used games, people? Don't we need Gamestop for that????
No, we definitely do not. Use Half.ebay.com. I have been using it for like 13 years. Used games are cheaper there.

Doesn't Gamestop own Impulse? That really stinks. I was going to buy Battlefield 3 off Impulse since Origin sucks. I guess now it's Steam or retail. But I hate physical discs.

Another reason why the PS3 is better. I'm not saying the game selection or the controller are better, but the system is a better offering overall I think.

It never occurred to me that MMO launches are a bit like the airline industry who will sell 300 tickets for a plane that only holds 250 people.

Or Gmail storage space.

Why do gamers seem like the most entitled bunch of cunts in the world?

I have been wondering this for years. It's why I completely left a forum over at IGN that I was a regular at for like seven years.
I have no horse in this race really, i dont have a 3DS nor do I want one, but I think gamers actually DO have the right to be a little bit of "entitled cunts" as you put it. We support one of the biggest industries in the world, we pay thousands upon thousands of dollars for our hobby just to play games supplied by a relatively few major companies, (which makes them BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars), we get extremely loyal to brand names (Xbox, Sony, Nintendo, Valve, iOS), and they love that. They need that. They thrive on that. And they want our patronage over the other guys brand.  The y want us to be so loyal that we feel that the company belongs to us.

And we should feel entitled to quality. Or at least expect quality. We have to buy their specific $500 machine, their specific $50 controllers, their specific $50 a year online, their specific $120 hard drives..... We put up with their specific DRM and pay monthly fees. They then get us to buy the same games over and over and over again. And we buy multiple systems to play these different games (PCs, PS3s, Xboxs, Wiis, PSP, phones, 3DS). We are stuck with them once we buy their device, we trust them to make our investment worth it. They have us over a barrel. And again, they love it, and we love it. How many Apple gamers/tech nuts buy every interation of Apple products just out of brand loyalty and lust for the hobby? That made Apple one of the richest companies in the world. So if the new iphone has some issues and we want to bitch about it, well we certainly have invested enough cash and brand loyalty to deserve a little attention to our bitching.

Nintendo has said publicly (to the issue of bringing Mario to iOS), that they have 15 billion in the bank... That is our money and they got it by being a company we trusted and wanted more of, if all the super loyal early adopters get screwed, well that's the early adopters money in their bank, and that's loyal customers they are going to lose, of course they can give us some stupid free games that really only cost them a little rushed development time. You call it entitled cunts, i call it satisfied SUPER CUSTOMERS. And Nintendo is more than happy to oblige, because maybe they can keep making billions of dollars off of us. And we will buy the WiiU even though we shouldn't.
I can see your point, and it's applicable to this thread. My comment, and I believe the original person I quoted as well, was more general.
