I'm going to Walmart tonight with the Target ad on my pocket. My wife said Walmart employees started wearing shirts that say big and bold that they price match. I'll see what they have left over from yesterday's launch. Games and accessories are what I'll be looking at.
Sounds strange for sure. It can't be USB 2.0. 4GB transferred over USB 2.0 should take five minutes or less. I hope it's not the speed of the memory card! But what else could it be?
I like physical for consoles and digital for my PC. I hate swapping DVD's in my computer, so I have avoided that for years now. I don't mind changing discs on consoles for some reason. Plus, it's also pretty easy to buy used console games and then sell them if they're not ornamental enough. So, for the Vita, I'll probably stick with physical games unless they are dirt cheap for digital (we're talking $5).
I have to go back on this because of new knowledge I got today. I knew you could store games on the PS3 and they didn't all have to fit on your Vita memory card, but I didn't know you could also store them on your computer. That makes space almost unlimited and changes the game for me. I may get some digital games after all.
I'm waiting for mine to come in the mail on Friday. I did check out Target and Best Buy today to see if they had good enough games for the 3-for-2 deal. They didn't. I might buy on target.com... I surely will if they allow pre-orders as part of the deal.
Yeah, I really want Rayman. But no store has three of my most-wanted games in the deal. Target has the most choices, since it looks like (have yet to test) you can choose titles that aren't released yet. But they don't have Rayman. At the end of the day, I know that I personally only need one fantastic game (or series) to be happy with the Vita. With the GBA SP, it was the Fire Emblem games. I put 100+ hours into each one. That made the $90 I spent on the used system worth it without a cinch of remorse.
I played Final Fantasy Tactics for a few hours and kind of hated it, coming from someone who adores both Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and the Fire Emblem series. It's very, very, very slow.
I haven't played Tactics Ogre, but what I've seen of it looks very good.
I am a huge Fire Emblem fan (if you can't tell by my avatar), so your comment has the most weight to me.
Not bad. I've been trying to decide what three games to get for the buy 2 get one free deal this week. I already have Uncharted. Rayman is pretty certain. BlazBlue is probable. But then what? F1 or Wipeout I'm thinking. I wish Disgea or LittleBigPlanet were out sooner.
What I'm more hopeful for is putting my own videos on the memory card and watching TV shows. But if that doesn't work, I can already do it with my phone.
