This game is better than THUG 1 and especially 2.

This game is better than THUG 1 and especially 2. It is very cool that you can skate around the whole los angeles! But the gameplay does suffer a little, it's not the game i thought it would be but it's still worth buying. If you are a die hard fan of this series you should buy it because even though the gameplay suffers aliitle it can still be a fun game. So my final review about this game is that you can have alot fun with this game if u don't really mind the little flaws.I really do recommend this game.

Classic

The Tony Hawk series has been one of the most successful in the gaming world. This is the game that got me hooked for the last seven years of my life. I still play it to this day. The level design was awesome. The sound is great. Just hearing the sounds of grinding relives memories. The gameplay is classic. They don't make games like this anymore. I highly recommend that you play this game and find out way people feel the way they feel about the Tony Hawk series. The Tony Hawk series will remain my favorite series for years to come.

One of the best games for the N64!

I was looking through my Nintendo 64 game collection the other day and a saw the yellow cartridge that is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Just seeing the cartridge made me want to play it again. The game is still unmatched for any skateboarding game. The gameplay is still wonderful after all these years. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is a game that hooked many people in to the Tony Hawk Series.

More of the same fun.

Neversoft's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 Is another awesome game in the Tony Hawk series. It is the last Tony Hawk Proskater game with the original 2:00 goal attack frenzy! This game has so truely hillarious Goals like: Knocking a Foundry foreman into a vat of water, Helping a geek get his tounge off a pole in Canada, and Covering a bully in the snow. The graphics were wonderfully done and the sound is amazing. The soundtrack is good. It has bands like AFI, Alien Ant Farm, CKY, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and many more. If your a fan of the Tony Hawk series you gotta play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.

Good game overall.

Pros:
Great gameplay
Nail the Trick is amazing
Great soundtrack
Ok Story
Realistic levels
Ok graphics

Cons:
Small levels
No motion cap
Lacking create mode
Small special list
Can't change tricks
No classic mode

When I heard people saying how much the PlayStation 2 version of Tony Hawk's Project 8 was gonna suck, I was wondering if I should even get the game but, after playing the game I think they were CLEARLY mistaken. The gameplay is still amazing after all these years. The Nail the Trick feature is wonderfully well done making the game feel new again. The story is okThe graphics are good (not as good as they could have though.) The soundtrack is the best (in my opinion) in the series. With bands like Immortal, Ministry, and Slayer you can't go wrong. The negatives to the game is even though the levels are realistic they are small compared to levels in past games. There is no motion cap in the game. The create mode is very lacking. Theres is like 5 pants to choose from. The special trick selection is small and you can't change you normal tricks. No Classic mode is a bummer. This is a great game and if your a fan of the series I recommend picking this game up.

Just WOW!!!!!

Pros:
Nail the trick rules
Great gameplay
One level
Good story
Great soundtrack
Mocap animations
Graphics are AMAZING!!!
Xbox Live is good

Cons:
No CAP
Lacking CAS
Can't watch the other people

Ive played every Tony Hawk game in the series and Tony Hawk's Project 8 for the Xbox 360 is the best game in the series. Like in the PS2 review, the gameplay is rock solid. The Nail The Trick feature in the game is even better in the Xbox 360 version compared to the PS2 version. You are able to rotate your body during Nail The Trick. The Level (Yes I said Level!!!) is massive and very different from the PS2's Levels (How sad :(.) The Story is still good and the soundtrack is the same as the PS2 version (Which means its good.) There is no Create-A-Park but you can customize some parts of the level. The Create-A-Skater is still lacking but, you have two more styles to choose from. The animation in the game are AMAZING!!! I mean every trick was redone. The graphics are VERY good You still get "Stokens" when you do big combos around people to buy new decks, tricks, and mocap tricks.
Xbox Live is great and walls is fun but, when you land after time you can't watch the other people. This a spectacular game and I highly recommend you pick it up

Awesome Game

Pros:
Good story
Graphics are good
Solid Framerate
Good Soundtrack
Improved Nail-the-Trick
Nail-the-Grab
Rigger kit
Aggro kick
Skate checking
Create-a-Skater

Cons:
Too Short
Bad Ending
No skate lounge
No online
Bad multiplayer

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground for the PS2 is a very good game and anyone who loves the Tony Hawk series and does not have a Xbox 360 or PS3 will enjoy. Even though its short ( just about 5 hours) the story is nice but the ending (or lack there of) was disappointing. The graphics are good and pretty sharp. The animations are smooth and the framerate is solid. The levels are massave and are really fun to play. The soundtrack to the game is suprizingly good. There are alot of punk songs plus new songs from The Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, and Voltera. The gameplay is amazing (like always) and Nail-the-Trick is even better. You can now rotate your body like in the Xbox 360 version of Tony Hawk's Project 8. This year they have added Nail-the-Grab where you use the analog sticks to grab the board. You can also do fingerflips by doing a semicircle with one of the analog sticks. Also new new to Proving Ground is the rigger kit. With the rigger kit you can build ramps, rails, and funboxes in the levels. Another new feature is Aggro kick and skate checking. Aggro kick is a timing based thing where you press R1 to get an extra speed boost to clear huge gaps. Skate checking lets you punch pedestrians and they go flying! The Create-a-Skater is very indepth and totally makes up for last year. A few things I don't like is that is that there is no skate lounge, online play or any good multiplayer. I really wanted to make a cool lounge and I love Tony Hawk online so I was sad to see no online. The 2 player mode only has 3 game modes: Freeskate, Graffiti, Trick Attack, and HORSE.

This game is amazing

Pros:
Great Gameplay
Good Graphics
Great Level Design
Huge Levels
Amazing Create-a-Skater Ok Soundtrack
Custom Sounds
Great Online
Online Community is Great

Cons:
Short Story
Soundtrack Could Be Better

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam for the Nintendo DS is a very good game.
The gameplay is very good. (name a Tony Hawk game that it isn't) It feels like the console games. World Tour (Story Mode) is good but, its very short. I got threw it in about 3 hours. There is a "Jam Session" mode that is like Classic Mode in past games. The level design is very good and the levels are huge. The Create-a-Skater feature in this game is amazing. (apart from the head) You are able to make your own shirts, pants, and skateboards by drawing them with the stylus. The graphics are very impressive. The soundtrack in the game is good. (not great) there is songs from Motorhead and Damone which is always good. You can create your own special, gap, and bail sounds. You are able to play the game via Nintendo's WiFi Connection and with the DS's wireless functionality (you need two game cards) Wifi is amazing and your able to play many game types online. Games like race, score, and style. (there are many more) The game's online community is great (go to http://ds.downhill-jam.com/) Your able to download new shirts, pants, and skateboards from other people! You are also able to download new goals that update about every week. Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam. is a superb game that if you a fan of the series and you own a DS you need to pick up.
