The best JRPG currently on 360

The game begins with Kaim fighting on a battle field, chopping down soldiers no problem, but then out of no where comes this meteor falling from the sky. Kaim manages to survive without a scratch. Not knowing how he is still alive and not having any memory of his past he begins his journey.

Like many RPG's you will meet up with new characters as your progress through the games story. With the game being about 60+ hours to beat, it many take several hours before you meet some key characters from the story.

Leveling up is also present in this RPG, with a maximum of level 99 for all your characters. Depending on how tough the enemies you are fighting, you will level up accordingly.

Lost Odyssey is divided into 4 disks. The first 3 disks will last you between 5-10 hours each. Disk 4 the one you will spend playing the most, specially if you try to go for all of the achievements in the game, which will take just over 100 hours for the average gamer.

Powered by the Unreal 3.0 game engine, Lost Odyssey is a good looking game, but not great. Compared to other Unreal 3 powered games (Gears of War), Lost Odyssey falls short.

There are some very cool innovative features in the games gameplay, such as being able to assemble rings, and the skill link system. You can assemble rings to each one of your characters. Some rings will increase your characters attack power, some will give your attacks fire damage, and some will give you up to 3 different types of attack attributes. The rings only work on regular attacks, not spells. Then there is the skill link system, which is only for Immortals. Mortals are the only ones who can learn skills, so Immortals have to learn skills from them. To equip a skill your want to learn, just link a skill from anyone of your Mortals to your Immortal Character. Then you will have to fight battles and gain SP so your Immortal can learn the equipped skill.

For anyone looking for a JRPG on the 360 or is in need for a good story driven game, i recommend Lost Odyssey.

Being an Assassin could of been more fun...

I was so hyped up for this game before its release. I remember watching videos of it and... jade... yeah... The game looked so sweet! But then i get my hands on it and i'm not happy! Why am i not happy? Well... this game didn't live up to the hype.

The first 30 minutes of the game are pretty sweet, but then everything starts to get really repetitive. Having to do the same old go kill this guy, go get a feather from this guy, and sitting on a bench to listen in on someone over and over again gets really old!

Even the combat gets old! At first you might find it challenging and fun, but later on when you figure it out it's really lame. You can take out 20 guards at once no problem just by countering their attacks. Hell, i can take out 50 guards by countering over and over again.

Assassins are known to use stealth tactics to reach their target. Some tactics you can use in the game are cool, some are just dumb. A dumb one would be to hold both your hands together and act as a priest by holding a button... if you do that guards will not suspect of you. It's amazing the guards don't see all the weapons on me. What's cool is that you can climb all the buildings in the game to get a birds eye view of your targets and also to stay out of sight.

The cities in the game are huge and all look amazing. Go to the top of any building and just look around, the graphics are just insane. Not only do you have a huge city where you can go anywhere, but it's full of people as well. All this with very little slow downs if any. The textures, the character models all look top notch. AC is one of the best if not the best looking game of 2007.

AC won't have you playing for a long time. An average gamer can probably finish the main story is just 10 hours. There are also side missions to do like finding flags and killing all the templars.

Only for LOST fans

If you are not a LOST fan then please stay away from this game. And even for the people who are true LOST fans, i don't recommend you waste $60 on this game. Also, if you are buying this game to get some answers from the show, well you ain't getting them here.

In the game you play as a new character not in the show. You are a photojournalist who loses his memory after crashing into the island. Not knowing who you are your main objectives are to find out who you are and find a way out of the island.

As you journey across the island you will meet up with key LOST characters from the show. It's just too bad that most of them don't have real voice actors. Sawyer and Charlie by far have the worst voice actors in the game, just listen to charlie sing "you all everybody" and you will know what i mean...

There is not much gameplay to this game. It's mostly just talking and fixing fuse circuits. Yes, fuse circuits. There's a lot of them in the game... by the time you finish the game you will be a electrician! It does get repetitive after a while. There is also some shooting here and there, but very little of it. I think the most action i got from this game was hiding from the smoke monster!

I have to say the best part about this game are the graphics. Character animations aren't the best, but everything from the jungles to the black rock look sweet!

It won't take much time to beat this game. I say like 6 hours, unless you get stuck with one of the fuse puzzles. This game is more of a rent then anything. I bought it for 20 bucks and i say it was worth it, because i'm a big LOST fan, so i enjoyed it a little. But no way i will pay 60 for it!

Tomb Raider + Gears of War + Far Cry = Uncharted

Some people would say this game is very uninspired. I wouldn't argue with you if you told me that. It's pretty obvious the gameplay in this game looks straight out of Gears of War (or kill.switch). But you know what? Who cares, this game rocks!

You play as Nathan Drake, an experienced treasure hunter and deep sea salvage expert who is looking for clues that Sir Francis Drake (a past family member) left behind about El Dorado. Tagging along with Nathan is Elena fisher who is filming a documentary on Sir Francis Drake and Victor Sullivan, Nathans business partner and one time mentor. All of them along with other characters are backed up with some really great voice acting.

ANIMATION. The thing that stands out to me the most in this game is the character animation. You can tell that naughty dog put a lot of work into it. Drake moves very fluidly as you run around. You don't always see the game old animation when you jump over a rock (unlike gears of war).

Uncharted really gives you that exploring feeling that old Tomb Raider games used to have. Going into caves, jungles, or where ever it may be, looking for the treasure (el dorado). Shooting up bad guys who are also after the treasure. Man... forget Tomb Raider, this feels like an Indiana Jones movie!

The great atmosphere in Uncharted is also backed up by some great graphics. Environments, water effect, character models, all look great. I find that the Jungle's could of looked a tad bit better, but still great looking. What also makes this game look really good is the lighting. It's the best i have ever seen in a game.

Uncharted is such a great game, i really don't know what bad things i can say about it. I guess the only thing i can say is that its over too soon! About 10 hours from start to finish. It really sucks to finish such a great game. Most people like me will beat it another time and finding all the hidden treasures in the game, adding a lot more to the value.

All that's left for me to say is... Naughty Dog, please... give us Uncharted 2!!!
