Yeah I foresee this being a gorgeous story-driven game rather than offering particularly interesting gameplay.

As long as the shooting and other mechanics are solid though that'll be more than enough to get me to pick it up!

I really love the universe of Fables and The Wolf Among Us was no exception. However as an episodic game I wonder how much it was hindered by being a prequel to the larger body of fiction. The end result was never really in doubt - The Crooked Man had to be caught and captured, Snow White ends this story as Deputy Mayor and Bigby is still Sheriff. With the finale essentially written in stone it's pretty hard to have serious consequences based on your choices.

As usual Sweden will get fucked on price and release date

Yay!

Barely half of Europe gets it in the beginning, though.

7 countries isn't barely half. Europe has 50 countries.

Well if you consider population those 7 countries contain 330 million of Europe's 740 million which is getting close to half.

I don't have a problem with this. It's like a little badge of honour for being an early adopter.

As someone else mentioned you also get a commemorative Day One 2013 controller as well as "premium packaging" according to Amazon. Overall I think it's actually a decent promotion for the day one edition and I would consider it if the Xbox One was going to be my next-generation console of choice.

Wow...haven't really seen a release this hard to get in...ages! Maybe since I had to order Shadow Hearts: Covenant from an obscure place in California.

Where I am (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) I can't get it at any of the local EB Games, Best Buy, Future Shop, Walmart or Superstore. Best Buy, Future Shop, Walmart and EB Games all list is as unavailable for online purchase.

Even AMAZON.ca is sold-out!!!! (Well except for an Amazon Marketplace store that is charing $20 extra)

What the deuce!?!?!?

Yeah considering the TV stuff is going to be US only to start and I have no interest in the Kinect I'd have a hard time paying $500 for something I'll be using 60% of.

That said our opinions on this could change when Sony reveals their price.

If you're outside the US, you wouldn't be paying $500. You'd be paying about $650.

Well except that I'm in Canada...where it will likely carry the same sticker price as in the US. But maybe you didn't know that the world is more than Europe and USA.

I'm also having some video issues. Pressing play gives me a 00:00:00 / 00:00:00 timer and a black video window.

Running Mac OS 10.8.3. Problem exists on Safari 6.0.4, Firefox 20.0, Chrome 26.0

EDIT: Was originally on Streaming video and just switched to Progressive (and HTML) which started the video. Now Streaming seems to be working as well.
