    A quick over-view.
This game was hyped up very heavily before it's release in 2007.  Did Halo 3 live up to the hype of halo 3?  Of course not.  They had a deal with Pontiac for crying out loud.  They did, however, manage to end the triology on a good note.

20gb and I'm going to rip Halo 3.  I'll enjoy not having the crazy jet exhaust fan on.

I'm sure it'll work better.  I hate the blades anyways.  The most exciting feature to me is the ability to save games onto the hard drive and play off that.  I guess you still need the disc in to play it but the dvd drive wont run, there-by making the 360 quite and I guess faster load times.  Memory will be an issue for some but I could see swaping games on and off the drive as you complete them and/ or when you start a new game.

I'll only have Halo on my drive because that's the game I play ...

Most of the exhaust comes out the back.... Like all of it does.  That's where the exhaust pushes the air out.

It has alot of room actually.  It's the downward angle that I took the picture that makes it look like a tighter space.  Messy.... yes. lol Oh and the thing on my tv is a red devil duck.  Amazing, I know.

About Me
My name is Jesse.  I'm 18 years old.  Not much more to say about myself.  I like Halo 3 and that's the game I play the most.
My Blog

Well Since I'm new to the site, but a long time "Jeff" fan due to the site that shall remain nameless, I thought I'd introduce myself in a bit more of a formal manner.  My name is Jesse, I'm 18 years old and I reside in Minnesota, in a small hick town where I don't fit in what so ever.  I'm about 5' 7" and I'm around 150 lb.  Some would call me emo, but that's only because of my unique style.  I'm a compassionate person who is sick of the "racist" and "homophobic" children on Live.

As for hobbies, I like to skateboard.  I've been skating for a few years now and I'm pretty good.  I don't blindly follow the Tony Hawk games, though.  Obviously another hobby I have is the art of playing video games.  I've been playing games since the Sega Genesis.  I have fond memories of playing sonic and golden axe and some, more obscure games such as cool spot.... I believe that's what it's called.  It's where you play as the dot from the 7up logo.  The most clever character/ promotion idea ever.  Everytime I played, all I could think about was the cool, refreshing taste of 7up, bestoying it's greatness upon me.

Out of the current gen consoles, I own the 360 and the Wii.  I have no future plans of buying a PS3 but who knows.  As for older consoles, I own a bunch.  The promonant ones being the N64, PSX, and all the last gen consoles..... well maybe excluding the gamecube.  With that being said, you may have guessed that I'm not much of a Wii fan.  It's okay but I don't even remember the last time I turned it on.  I only own super paper mario and super mario galaxy for it.  I feel no desire to waist my money on any other Wii game.  Also, the controller bugs me.  I like one peice.  Whenever I play Mario galaxy, my left hand limps a little so when I think I'm pointing straight, mario swerves off to the left.  I could go on and on about other annoying things about the Wii but why bother.  You get my point.

As for the 360, I love it.  I do have Live ( GT= Ryoujoku No Ame ) and I play it a good amount.  Mostly Halo 3 but once RE5 and Gears 2 comes out, I'll probably get off the Halo 3 for a while.  Oh and if you add me on Live, be prepared to be ignored by me until you make some effort of be-friending me.  I only play with good friends.  Plus I mute everyone.  Oh and before you ask, my GT is a song by my favorite band, Dir en grey.  They are a Japanese band.  I believe the song translates to Rain of Indignity.  Anyway, some other 360 games I own that are worth mentioning are Gears, Bioshock (which I still haven't played past the first level), Uno, Doom,..... Ya, Halo 3 makes it hard for me to get another game.  It's just easy to jump in and play.  I tend to play mostly shooters, incase you didn't notice.  I like plenty of other game types but shooters interest me the most.

I'll list off some other old games that I enjoyed a good bit.  Super Mario World/ 64, Most Zelda games from the 64 and beyond, the Halo series, the Onimusha series with 2 being the best, Hot Shots Golf Four, the Tony Hawk games up till THUG, SKATE, DBZ Budokai 1-3 and Burst Limit, PGR series, all GB/ GBA Pokemon games, Pokemon Collosium for the 64, Mario Kart Double Dash, Super Mario Tennis, RE4, Syphon Filter for the PSX, WCW vs. NWO Revenge, Banjo Kazooi, Diddy Kong Racing, Sonic 1-3 on the genesis, Rachet and Clank up till Up Your Arsenal and.... that's all I can think of that really pop out in my mind, at least at the moment.

Music and Movies..... I listen to mainly harder music, the occasional old rap, and a few obscure artists like Johnny Cash.  I hate country music but I love Johnny.  Favorite artist, as previously stated, is Dir en grey.  Japanese rock is much better then American rock, IMO.  As for movies, I'm into whatever.  Not so much into the chick flix.  Horror and comedy seem to be the movies I enjoy the most.  Martial Arts is also great.  Enter the Dragon FTW.  Most of my dvd collection is anime.  That doesn't mean cartoon network, children.

I guess I'll just list off other tech devices I own.  A Toshiba laptop, an iPod video, a Samsung F-250 cellular device, an older sony reciever/ 5 disk dvd changer with 6 speakers and a sub woofer, a dock to play my music off the iPod onto the nice system, a large collection of DBZ dvds (I'm a hugh fan of DB), a 32" Vizio LCD tv, a beautiflul, black glass and metal tv stand, a Black and Decker tower fan, and an emo haircut.  Yes, I know, very technically equiptment.

I learned about this site through the podcast formally known as the Arrow Pointing Down Podcast, now known as Giant Bombcast.  A few other podcasts I listen to are the Bungie Studio's Podcast, Gamehounds.net Podcast, and Major Nelson's Podcast.  Others have stopped running and I moarn the loss of them. They are Podtacular and Gamer Andy Live!.  Gamer Andy live! in particular is one that I miss greatly but i guess Gamehounds in a decent substitute.  Also, with me being a once time Yu gi oh fan, I watch Yu Gi Oh The Abridged Series.  It takes clips from episodes and molds them into a montage of adult humor, as well as internet meems.  There is still progression as though it is a running series, which makes it even funnier.

Well that's about all that really matters to me.  Feel free to ask questions, even though I know you won't.  I, myself love to prey on other people and invade into thier private lives and I'm sure alot of you share that desire so I'm sure some of you will have no choice but to read this epic blog.  I'll just rap it up then.  Peace.

A quick over-view.

This game was hyped up very heavily before it's release in 2007.  Did Halo 3 live up to the hype of halo 3?  Of course not.  They had a deal with Pontiac for crying out loud.  They did, however, manage to end the triology on a good note.
Halo 3 picks up right where Halo 2 left off.  This is a good start for those who weren't so impressed by Halo 2's ending.  The over-all story was pretty good.  It cleared up most of what we have been missing out on.  The ending was a bit open but conclusive, none the less.  The dialouge is game was good.  It kept me interested the entire way through.  The story over all was pretty good but seems a bit short.

The graphics were impressive.  I'm sure it's difficult to protray "real life" graphics in a si-fi shooter so it's hard to compare it to games like COD or any other realistic game.  They manage to do a greay job, though.  The lighting is one of the more notable upgrades from Halo 2.  The way the light bounces of object, can result in some beautiful envirnments.  The actually models of the game have been up-graded graphically, as well.  They share the same high detail as the envinments.  All around Halo 3 is a great looking game.

Gameplay in Halo always seemed to be pick up and play.  The controls in Halo 3 are just that.  There has been a minor change due to the introduction of deployable equiptment.  The action/ reload button has changed to the right bumper button.  It takes some getting use to but once you do, it's more natural then the old configuration.  Also, the team talk button was changed to the d-pad which, like the bumper button, takes a short time to get used to.

Forge is basically a level editor.  You can place weapons, spawn points, and basically any other object you see in the multiplayer maps.  You can save these maps and play them as you made them.  Also, while editting the map, you can change into a first person character and play the game on the fly.  This helps to test things out that you just made.  You can also play games in Forge with people switching between these modes.  This is a feature that most people wont use but is very useful to some.

Saved films is another feature added to the game.  Basically the game is saved and you have the option to view and save films of your matches.  Even more interesting, you can go anywhere on the map and watch the match unfold.  You can watch as you play, from a third person view.  You can watch how your opponents played.  This is a very cool feature for those you play on-line.  Also, with in those films, you can save film clips.  So lets say I got an overkill in FFA and I really wanted to save just that.  I could go in, start recording, and only save that clip.  The film feature also works in Forge and in the story mode.

Multiplayer is a feature that seems to keep the majority of people playing.  There are many game types, ranked and unranked that you can play in.  There are now speacial game types that'll pop up for the weekend like griffball and team melee.  There is a ranking system that is effected by exp., which is just from playing any sort of matchmaking match, and your highest rank, which is the highest level achieved in a ranked playlist.  This makes is so you can get match up with people at your skill level, plus it creates a whole new objective for the game.

Other new introductions to the series include achievements, four player co-op over xbox live, multiple armor permiatations, deployable equiptment, a few new weapons with the return of the assult rifle from Halo CE, new vehicles, a horrible map known as Isolation, and a few surprises along the way.

There are many other fine grained details about this game out there and are worth checking out but just from the list above, the game is worth every penny.  The longevity of the game is high because of all these features.  Definetly a great end, to what has been, a epic trilogy.
