I just learned, thanks to Giant Bomb, that the E1M1 (Hangar) song from Doom is actually inspired by the mainriff from No Remorse by Metallica. I had no idea about this but comparing the two now I can totally hear it. Mindblowing. For someone as big of a Doom fan as me, this is huge news. Compare for yourselves. Both songs are totally awesome!
