@destruktive: You tell people to stop whining about being unable to play the game because the servers are down, yet you understand the complaint about people wanting an offline mode? That's a contradiction if I ever saw one.You know what I'm tired of? People who always find some way to excuse bad practices in game development.

For once I am on the side of those users. It is inexcusable for any game but an MMO to have such major launch issues.This launched in a broken state, plain and simple. The game requires a connection to Blizzard's servers to work, making it integral to the experience. And as such, with that not in proper working order, there can only be the conclusion that the game is broken ...

Here's what I find really funny. When Ubisoft released games that required people to always be online, everyone was up in arms about it. But now, with Diablo 3, I haven't seen a single complaint about this fact.I think, perhaps, the gaming community as a whole needs to re-evaluate its double standards first, before they start discussing how reviews should be scored.
