Kenzo287 is loving the NXE

So I got in the NXE preview yesterday. I love the new dashboard. Then when I tried to go from Gears 2 to the dashboard I found that it froze. And when I unplugged the system it was sticking at the Xbox 360 logo screen. I was going insane. Fortuantely I found that the problem was with the flash drive I had in the back of my console. Also if anyone knows how to force my 360 to find my PC so I can share my media to it that'd be great. My PC can find my 360 but the 360 refuses to recognize the PC. I already forwarded the right ports and setup sharing through Windows Media Player 11 but it will absolutely not find my PC no matter what I try! Any help would be great.

This post relates to: Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Banjo-Kazooie, Call of Duty: World at War, Mirror's Edge

Given it's Veteran's Day as I write this let me talk about WWII. I've been to Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, and every other damn battle in WWII ten times over. Everyone has. EA and Activision and every other game company who green lighted a WWII game has effectively killed this war from a gaming point of view. It is for this reason and this reason alone that I absolutely refuse to buy more than one WWII game per console generation, and I probably won't even get one this time around. This is also why I will not buy Call of Duty: World at War and instead will get Mirror's Edge. While Call of Duty: WoW is a dull WWII game it has been perfected thanks to the Call of Duty 4 engine that made its titular game so great. So even though WoW is extremely impressive technicaly, it's just more of the same. Mirror's Edge, while technically a worse game, is more fun and original. Those factors make this game refreshing. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I'm getting Mirror's Edge tomorrow. Also I got the original Banjo Kazooie on XBLA and I'm getting Nuts and Bolts tomorrow.

This post relates to: Have you ever waited in line for a midnight game release before? If so, what was it like?

I went to both the launches for Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Gears of War 2. There was a tournament at the Smash Bros. tournament and I made it to the second round (mostly due to the gimped Nunchuck controls) and my friend won the tournament. Everyone there was real friendly. Gears 2 was similar in that everyone was friendly but there was no tournament so we had to wait outside for 2 hours. I was the fifth one in line to get it so it worked out well.

Unless something goes horribly horribly wrong Barrack Obama is going to be the 44th President of the United States of America. The world is looking a little brighter these days.

Also in an unrelated note the Left 4 Dead beta comes out. See you on Xbox Live.
