This post relates to: Gears of War 2, Tomb Raider: Underworld

Decided to add a different track to the 'Last Day' Gears of War 2 television spot. It took me a few minutes, since this time I was only replacing the audio track and not mashing up clips. I will get back into it on the weekend probably and should hopefully have Tomb Raider: Underworld too. Check out the 'Only You' trailer...

Xbox 360 grey hard drive (chrome outline).
Xbox 360 hard drive.
I take it, in most cases, the more you get, the better. Anyway, what I'm referring to is a 60 GB hard drive over a 20 GB hard drive for the Xbox 360. Now, 20 GB may be good enough for some but I feel I am struggling for storage. Sure, I could delete some demos, some videos but I don't want to. I like the idea of having some demos downloaded and ready to play (not played some yet that are on my hard drive).Saved games take up a small chunk but I like to keep those - just in case I come back to play a title at some point or there is new DLC for the title.

Having owned an Xbox 360 Premium since late 2006, I got a 20 GB hard drive with it. Now, you can purchase the Xbox 360 Elite (120 GB) at a lower price than what I originally paid for my console. The Premium consoles now come with 60 GB hard drive. A 60 GB starter kit is to be sold at retailers soon in a few regions. It will feature the hard drive, a headset, ethernet cable and three months of Gold for around £50 here in the UK. Not too bad but I don't really care for the other stuff - just the hard drive.

I've got an 80 GB hard drive on my PlayStation 3 that I doubt is going to get much use. So, that does kinda annoy me. Microsoft uses propietary stuff and so that means for them, they can earn more money; selling the hard drive at a price much higher than the cost of a standard hard drive (one for PC). I may get it by the end of the year because I really wouldn't feel so 'limited.' The price is a little annoying but I guess three months of Xbox LIVE Gold isn't too bad.

Here's a breakdown of the stuff on my 20 GB hard drive:
Item Type Storage
Games 3.8 GB
Gamer Profiles 22 MB
Demos 4.8 GB
Videos 3.3 GB
Themes 135 MB
Gamer Pictures 12 MB
System Items 2 MB

This post relates to: Guns n' Roses

Yes, I am, with the trivia stuff going on at Giant Bomb. I've answered some but have found myself to submit trivia after trivia. I stopped at 50, so you may well come across some questions by me. Topics range from Bruce Lee to firmware to SSX...and beyond. Great feature to have on any community website. Anyway, it is late (ok, early, I guess) and I shall be getting sleep soon. It does suck for me going to bed so late, having only a few hours sleep. It's good when you get to the weekend, though. >_>

I'll finish off this blog post with something that works well because it's November and it's raining a lot recently...

This post relates to: Stilwater, Saints Row 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War

Call of Duty: World at War, Logo
Enjoying.
I've got this love-hate thing going on with the dogs in Call of Duty: World at War. Dogs basically are the special you can use after getting a seven kill streak (this was a helicopter in Call of Duty 4). Now, you'd probably think that I've been shot a lot but I've always been caught out when people would release their dogs.

A lot of my deaths were from dog kills. I managed to knife a few and shoot some (I feel bad for doing so), which earns you 2 points for the match. Now, I hate them because you have no idea where they're going to come out at. I've even tried running away but noticed they just keep chasing you. On the other hand, when I was able to get used to this (you probably will if you played Call of Duty 4), I managed to get my own dogs to release. On the left of the screen, I could see dog kills from me popping up constantly. It was such a good feeling getting those kills and it seems a lot of people are getting caught out. Then, seeing as my kills were getting streaked again, it let me release more straight after.

So, in a free-for-all match, I managed to pull off 30 kills (only had 2 deaths) earning me my first first place. If only I could have recorded that. It was like a walk in the park. Do try to get the beta if you can because I certainly recommend it. Whilst, I don't like it going back to World War II, I still feel the online is solid and enjoyable. Oh, and dogs get those campers out and running. Always good to see someone struggling and then taking the last bit of life out of them with a single bullet. :D

This Friday - I'm going back to Stilwater...
