I completed Braid (360) over the weekend and it was awesome. The last World was surprisingly well designed and the last level was quite EPIC! I was really surprised at how well designed they were. I didn't think they could top the other Worlds but they did. I'll admit that I used a guide for four puzzles since I was pretty darn frustrated with them. I figured out the rest on my own which was quite satisfying. The last World was actually easier for me than some of the earlier Worlds. Who knew?
The game's story ends on a rather vague note and I'm sure people have been scouring the web to figure out what the story is really about. It's not as straightforward as it appears. There's one particular theory that I really like but who knows if it's true or not. I found the story both melancholy and quite dark at times. It's a rather strange feeling for a game that looks and plays like a happy platformer/puzzler. There was some emotional resonance after I finished it but I wish the story was much clearer. I guess only the creator of the game can give us the true meaning behind the game. I am EXTREMELY curious what the creator was trying to say to us.
Anyways, amazing game. It's worth checking out and I think anyone who enjoyed the demo would LOVE this game. I'm disappointed people are shying away from it because of the price. Considering that people are willing to pay $10 for map packs, $15 is nothing for a great game like this.
Get this game! You won't regret it. Don't believe me? Check out all the reviews online ya cheapskates. ;)
