Find out why Rock Band 2 is the best music game out there.

3 years ago, Guitar Hero made its debut onto the PS2. With it, came a huge fan base, including wanna-be rockers. Myself, one of them. Its now 2008 and Rock Band 2 made its debut onto the PS3. Where was I going with this...?

Anyway, Rock Band 2 is the squeal to the first Rock Band, which revolutionized rhythm games. But Rock Band was not a perfect game, and people soon realized that once that got passed the whole idea. The band system was messed up, the whole "band leader" thing was horrible. If you band leader was not there, you couldn't play, and that was really annoying.

Rock Band fixes that problem, trowing the whole band system out the window and making it simple for people to just jump in, make their character, and play. On top of that, the set list in Rock band 2 is amazing, bring together all types of genres like Southern Rock, Metal, Punk, and hey, there is bit of rap in here as well. There are 84 songs total in the game, but if that's not enough, all of your DLC you bought transfers onto Rock Band 2 for free, and if that's not enough, you could transfer most of your Rock band 1 songs for $5, and if that is not enough, more DLC and an AC/DC track pack is to come. That is enough songs for you, spoiled bastard.

The gameplay is the same fun Rock Band you know in love, but with better songs comes more fun gameplay. If you enjoy the first Rock Band you will love Rock band 2.

Say you thought Rock band was repetitive, and you don't think the set list for Rock Band 2 will last you long. There is a new more in Rock Band 2 called "Battle Of The Bands Mode", where you could do challenges and the someone online has to top you score on that challenge. These challenges are pretty cool and with the challenges updating every week, you might not get bored. There is also a challenge mode to do off-line where the more challenges you do the more you unlock, like Band Word Tour, except linear.  As for BWT, nothing much has changed, except the ability to hire managers, which doesn't effect the game much.

At first glance, Rock Band 2 looks like the first, but when you dig deeper, you see its much better than the first.

Guitar Hero Aerosmith, not worth the full price.

So you are a Aerosmith fan and you want to play some hard core Guitar Hero as well, huh? Well, looking at the box you would think this game is perfect of you, right? Unfortunately, you're wrong.

Let me go on record and say that I beat this game in one night. Yes, its that short, and the fun is a bit limited. Only half of the set list is Aerosmith, which is odd considering the title. You would expect to play as Aerosmith, which you do, but before that you need to do 'opening acts' before you play as the legendary Joe Parry, and you have to do that which each venue. That presentation doesn't make you want to play and its just not fun.

To top it off the setlist....its just downright....weird. I mean many hit Aerosmith songs are in here, don't get me wrong, but where are others like 'Crazy'? The songs that arn't Aerosmith suffer from the baddness as well. They are not fun to play, and most of them are dull and boring. But its not all bad. The good songs like 'Dream On' and         ' Walk This Way' are in here, but you have to purchase 'Walk This Way' at the Store, whats up with that? The verison of the song is a rap tune by DMC, and not Aerosmith at all. And sure 'Train Kept A Rollin' is in here but, you could already play that in Rock Band, and there is not much difference between the two verisons other than the fact that the version is the classic -unmixed- version and, no, that is not a reason to play the game.

The muli-player is the same as the other Guitar Heros (or GH3 anyway) and you will be better off playing GH3 online since there are not much good songs in the game.

So the lack of not being much Aerosmith, the presentation, and the 6 hour gameplay totaly ruin the game. Its cool that they added comintary for the band, but these are online 30 seconds. The bottom line is rent it, it works with you other Guitars, including Rock Band Guitars, and beat it in a weekend. Avoid buying it at all costs, you will find your self harshly dissipointed. Overall, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith gets a 2.5 out of 5.

Rock Band Review (You know I am a fan)

Ok. I think you saw this coming. So here we go.

Rock Band is Harmonix's music game that allows you to take part in playing the drums, guitar, bass, and mic.

Rock Band is one of the best party games of all time. It was ment to play with more that one person, and if you play it with just one, you may not have a fun time with this game as much as you may with other people.

There are many instrument problems, but EA provides a service in which you can replace you instruments free of charge.

The song list is just plain incredible with bands like The Who, Boston, and much more.

So...yeah. Rock Band is a hell of a lot of fun and I can't wait for Rock Band 2!

 A 5 out of 5!

Psychonauts Review

Psychonauts is a very different performer. Once you turn this on you will know that this is different. The opening menu has you standing on a brain! You go through peoples minds! You fight crazy creatures! Ok, I am not gonna tell all of the 'What The Fuck' moments but I am just telling you have never experenced a game like this before.

You play Raz, a kid who doesn't like his life the way it is so he runs away to a  summercamp for psycos.

Again, the fell of the game is different, the graphics are crazy and great, the VOs are tremondus, the writing is very funny, and its all great fun.

Some of the problems I had with this game is the amount of loading screens in this game. Every small place in the game has a loading screen and it really gets annoying. Also, platforming is not really hard, once you know what you can do with your charactor. And there tend to be glitches arround the game.

But beleive me when I say that you will get drawen into this game once you pick it up and you see how crazy it is. Psychonauts gets a four out of five.

Super Stardst HD review is here!

It's about time too.
Super Stardust is a game which many people will find as an old school game. That is true this game is very old school and has that simplicity of old school games. You play as a ship and have to destroy all of your enemies. Sound familiar?....

Yep. Expect this game is 3D and they put asteroids into the mix. So now it looks like this:

And it works. The gameplay get really intense with hundreds of objects on screen and not the slightest drop of framerate . There is also Co-op in here as well, and that can get pretty intense, but there is no online Co-op, which sort of ruins it since we expect that in a game now a days.

This game is also VERY HARD. Once you play it you understand why it is the first game for the PS3 that has trophy support. Its insanely hard, even on the first level, and you will love every minute of it. You will never want to stop playing this.

So even if this game doesn't have online Co-op, this game is a perfect addiction to you PS3 hard drive. Super Stardust HD gets a Five out of five.

Burnout Paradise Review.

Burnout Paradise is a free-roam racing game. It's nothing like the past Burnouts but at the same time, it has the Burnout feel. There are a couple of modes worth mentioning.

 1. Road Rage- Destroy all a number of your opponents with in the time limit.
 2. Marked Man- Go to point A to point B while surviving your opponents' blows.
 3. Stunts Run- Do tricks like mad hell.
 4. Online Road Rage (Cagney Update)- 2 teams, Blue team going from point A to point B without getting taken down
 5. Online Marked Man(Cagney Update) - One person is the marked man and other people have to take him down.
 6. Online Stunt Run(Cagney update)- Get the most points, who ever gets the most wins.

With all of these features, Burnout Paradise is a great racing game for people who want some excitement in their video game life.
