Lifelike animation heralds new era for computer games
I noticed this news article about a new level of realism for human charater that has been achieved by Image Metrics. They have done this by using data captured of really actors facial movement to drive the animation of the model.

VIdeo is impressive but does it pass uncanny valley ?

About Me

I am a 21 year old avid game currently studing a BSC degree in Computer Games Development. On a day to day base i mainly play multiplayer games such as COD4, though I am a fan of almost all game genres and enjoy playing a good story driven game. My main platform for playing games is my pc though I do own a PS3 and Xbox 360 and play them on a weekly bases.
