Verdugo replied to the topic Metallica or Linkin Park? 12:32AM
I do like LP's Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but I just like Metallica far more than Linkin Park. And... I'm going to that Sonisphere festival as well today. WOOO. (The festival includes 9 bands playing: Metallica, Die Toten Hosen, The Prodigy, Mastodon, Anthrax, Lamb of God, Down, In Extremo, and Five and the Red One.)

@Knights:I've seen The Notebook, I was admitively bored at times with it, but I was charmed overall by the story. I've seen Edward Scissorhands, don't remember much of it. But I did enjoy it. And I'll look into those others at some point, thanks for the list man!

Let the Right One In: 4.5 out of 5Awkward first few minutes, but as a whole, this is a fantastic macabre love story. It's what a vampire movie should be, not like that Twilight bullshit. Recommended.

Verdugo replied to the topic have you ever used a guide for a game and regret it? 9:58AM
For the final colossus in Shadow of the Colossus, I resorted to using an online guide to figure out how to kill the damn thing. It was so obvious that I pretty much kicked myself for not figuring it out myself.

Verdugo replied to the topic Why do critics hate Transformers 2? 10:04AM
Transformers 1 was somewhat entertaining. I don't think I would see this for any other reason just for kicks. All the various descriptions of it in this thread make it sound so hilariously awful that it is actually entertaining.
Verdugo replied to the topic Recommend me a Movie 9:27AM
Angel-A is a good noir movie. I loved The Professional, Wasabi is another movie with Jean Reno that has elements of humor and crime\action. I found it to be touching as well. Shoot em Up (Action, Thriller) is another movie I recommend, along with The Silence of the Lambs (but I'm assuming you've seen the latter, if not it's excellent).

I'm 15 years old.

I'm a dude.

And I have a soft spot for love stories.

Just watched Let the Right One In (a horror\romance centered on the subject of vampires), and I have to say, I found it to be an excellent movie. My emotions are in freaken knots when I watch a relationship unfold like the one in this movie...feel like a wuss... (lets get one thing streight though, Twilight is a movie I found to be utter shit).

This natural feeling of mine is what makes me love games like Final Fantasy X, not just for it's great gameplay really, but the story really clasps onto me.

Is anyone else on GB like this?

I'm not sure if thinking of Michael Jackson's death had any contribution to how solemnly beautiful this song is, or that the fact the guitarist who composed this song has ALS and is reduced to only being able to move his eyes...

But I just cried, I cried a healthy stream after hearing this song. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.

Resident Evil 5 Review

Fucking awesome game, nuff said.

Oh wait... no that is not all, I'm about to do something I haven't done in ages: I am going to write a review, a freaken review. It's been countless months since I wrote a review, since before I even joined Giant Bomb I wrote my last review (the Super Mario All Stars review does not count, that is simply a revised review from when I was on Gamespot.)

So yeah, in a nutshell, those who have played RE4 and enjoyed it have no reason to not buy this game. Disregard the demo for this game, it does not scratch the surface on how fun this game is, it's awesome stuff, so if you're on the fence then I am saying right now do not fear, this game really IS good.

Now, in any case is it better than RE4? Well my answer to that question is that both games are seriously damn good, RE5 is really a better looking RE4 in a different premise. Each to his own opinion though, I still love RE4, and I love this game as well. Maybe I'll replay through RE4 yet again (this would be my 9th or 10th time beating it) and see how it stacks up to RE5.

All right then... going to sleep now. Got end of the year projects and other school-related crap to worry about >___>.

A fantastic follow up to a revolutionary game. (X360)
