If there's one lesson you need to take from this stream, it's to not be in the same spaceship with Dave Lang. He'll inevitably sell you and the rest of the crew to slavery.
There's no doubt in my mind that the game will be good but I'm still a bit weary of the "narrower Mass Effect-style". Wouldn't you think having one game series for something like that was enough? I guess when you think of games like the Baldur's Gate series they were all following the same character on his/her journey, so it might work out brilliantly.
What I'd like to see is refinement (not so much redesign) of the combat and spells, better visuals and, most of all, BG2-style multiplayer capabilities for the campaigns / mods as that was a big part of what made that game probably my favourite game of all time. I was really surpirsed when DA:O announced that there wouldn't be multiplayer, it being a "spiritual successor" to BG2 and all.
