My favorite episode was the one when Jeff and Rich were pretending to be sexist saying how girls don't play games. "My Xbox is an Easy Bake Oven", while Carrie was getting really mad. That was also the episode where Carrie announced she was leaving Gamespot.
I think the reason Giant Bomb is more popular than the other Whiskey sites is not the demographic, but because Giant Bomb has Jeff Gerstmann's name behind it, giving it the large community it has compared to Comic Vine and Anime Vice.
I never considered starting a site because I just want to enjoy playing games at my own pace. I didin't feel I could contribute anything better than what the major sites are doing right now.
Roushimsx said it better than I could. Also, most people who write for this site aren't English majors, they just write for the games they know and enjoy. Plus if you post in the forums often (or any forum on any site), it will help improve your writing.
Yeah, Call of Duty 4 has quite an angry atmosphere, along with many games like Halo 3 and Gears of War(this one being the worst). It seems to me that the more popular the game is, the worse the community in the game is.
The song is called Helix Nebula. It's track #2 on this link: http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography/by/anamanaguchi Talkradar is my second favorite podcast(Giant Bomb being first of course). It's has the same kind of humor I love listening to in a podcast. :)
