I don't so much mind trolls, they're everywhere, no escaping it, but it seams like this is a mature community. I worry not for the PC master race because I am a PC gamer, Xbox , PS3, and even a Wii gamer who dabbles in 3DS and still waiting for a good reason to buy a Vita :p

This is like the best reason to get anything! Just like P3P was the best reason to get a PSP!

I envy you - you haven't yet experienced the magic that is the P4 Endurance Run. Some of my favorite memories of this site were sitting out on my patio, sipping tea and watching that day's episode. That made me fall in love with GiantBomb. :)

If only I could wipe that memory from my mind and relive it again for the first time...

Welcome. I came here from 1up back when the site died the first time around when UGO bought them out and everyone got fired. A few years and a little over 10k posts later I'm still here. You found a great place and holy fuck do you have a lot of videos to watch. My god the hours, days, and weeks of video to watch. Enjoy.

Wait a minute. Ziff Davis used to own EGM back in the day. 1up was originally the website for EGM. Then EGM folded and was restarted with a different publisher and so I guess 1up had nothing to do with it anymore. Now Ziff Davis has bought 1up. Hasn't it just come full circle then? Did I miss something there?

Ziff Davis bought 1up as part of the deal that also got them IGN, UGO, and Gamespy, but apparently IGN was the only brand that ZD had any interest in supporting. Sort of like how BermanBraun bought Tested, Screened, and Anime Vice, except BB has actually kept Screened and Anime Vice running while they've been putting most of the effort into Tested.

Welcome to Giant Bomb. It's actually one of the more friendly communities on the internet, most people here are respectful, only downside is that Giant Bomb it's self tends to be slow about news and reviews. So it's best to also follow one of the bigger sites from time to time to keep up with the latest in the industry, such as IGN. But this is just from my perspective.

I too came here from a different site, GameSpot. I left because System Wars took over that entire community, and System Wars (and the people in it) are stupid and rude.

Welcome! i just made the transition back to Giant Bomb recently over from 1UP i was pretty bummed to hear they were shutting down, anyway i was here before the CBS interactive purchase and then i found 1UP and started focusing more on that site but now i'm back and it really seems to have grown into a larger nice community of gamers hope you enjoy it here!
