Conceptually Devil in the Details seems like the most fun one to me by far, but I get that they went past it because it doesn't make a good audience game. Very much a kind of "Don't stop talking any nobody explodes" vibe, which is the best party game for my friends to date.

I never like the drawing ones though, so Champ'd Out seems sorta a pass. I'm not very good at drawing and there really isn't a whole lot to do.

Seems like an alright one of these, but Devil is maybe the only game I would really get it for.

All this praise for outer wild makes me super curious, but I still have a pretty strong feeling I’ll hate it.

I have this weird thing about real-time timers in games, but I cannot stand them. They consistently make me feel super stressed and anxious and kill any enjoyment I get out of the hobby, I feel less stressed in my work.

It sounds like a phenomenal experience and I am glad so many people love it, but I imagine it’s just not for me. Maybe it’s something I’ll have to consume on a let’s play, but that still may not be for me.

I don’t think the people who disliked this were somehow thinking Alex was really angry or anything, or even that it wasn’t that funny of a bit. It was honestly.

At least for me, it’s that the initially teased feature sounded super interesting. It was more of a disappointment rather than what they actually made being bad. Granted, I was one of those that was really excited about the original Kingdom Heartache premise too. Sure there’s plenty of let’s plays of these games, but I like these guys enough I am happy to watch them play through stuff. Features don’t need any extra gimmicks on top of their personalities.

I get what they went for here and it was fun for a bit, but the original promise of a Civ feature is something I was legitimately so excited about tha I just ended up a bit disappointed. Not that it wasn’t funny or anything, but I just honestly would love a civ playthrough feature.

Happy people are liking it but man, cowboys are just the most boring media motif to me. This could basically be any other setting and I would probably be into it.

Wit Odyssey out though, there’s plenty of open world for people like me who don’t like cowboys. I’m already burning out just hearing about this one though. It sorta reminds me of when GB was all in on PUBG, which was never my cup of tea either.

Regarding accuracy. It IS conveyed in the game, the large orange circle when you are aiming represents the variance. Your shots will always hit within that circle, but not necessarily where your crosshairs are pointing.

That’s why Lancers are usually not great against infantry, because the variance is far too large to hit anything smaller than a tank.

Unrelated, but I probably don’t recommend people play these games skipping all the story. It’s actually one of the stronger points of the game, there are probably tactical games with less story that you can play if you don’t enjoy story based games.

Some Cook, Serve, Delicious would maybe be the only thing I would have added to the stream. Not just for how much Ryan liked it, but what an impact he had on that developer. Making a Ryan Davis would have the perfect end for the stream.

@tom_omb: I feel WoW, for such an old engine, has been kept up really well too. Legion and Battle for Azeroth are pretty phenomenal looking games for the limited amount of updating they have been able to do. That kind of art style honestly ages better I feel too.

EDIT: I doubt the comment will be seen by Abby, but just on the off chance it is. Hong Kong and southeast Asia are pretty different. HK doesn't really have the heavy reliance on scooters that they do in places like Vietnam. It honestly probably is more similar to somewhere like Taiwan or Tokyo in terms of transportation. Cycling is popular in some of the new areas of Hong Kong, but central Hong Kong (like Kowloon) doesn't featured many bicycles or motorbikes. Driving is kind of popular, but it is pretty expensive to get a car.

@simkas: I agree that they would be in higher risk positions, and probably not social work. I am not so sure they would be first used in positions like law enforcement to begin with. That is high risk to not just the person in the professions but those around them. You wouldn't want untested androids to be in charge of making decisions like potentially firing at suspects.

Honestly, I would expect to see them used in high risk menial labor positions. Jobs around hazardous waste, factory work, things like that. Things we might normally use robots for, but that may require slightly more autonomy. Probably nothing working with people, at least not initially. Androids/Robots in social work seem to be a common trope in a lot of sci-fi like this though. Asimov hits on that in his books from time to time.

I know they get a lot of flak, but Quantic Dream games are honestly some of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played. Especially the later ones like Beyond and Heavy Rain, two of my favourite games ever. Fahrenheit went to some weird places by the end that I could have done without.

Detroit is probably one of my most anticipated games for this year and frankly, this looks fantastic. Even people who dont normally like their games seem to think it is one of the better titles QD has put out, which is pretty encouraging to me. I was initially a bit concerned because it seems to be a pretty new setting for them to go with, but they really seem to have delivered.
