No finer gameplay experience this year than landing a lucky hit on an Hind-D with an untracered Carl Gustav.
Shows Capcom how it's fucking done. Ninja Theory may cry.
I loved the blend of realistic driving and magical power-ups.
As a game it's pretty lacklustre, but the messed up characters and even more messed up story made this one to remember.
I bought it and played it this year, so it counts, right? RIGHT?! Either way, it's the closest thing to a Rainbow Six game I played this year.
Probably the most visually arresting game of the year. Mowing down waves of little plastic patriots made for a simultaneously fun and tragic game.
When played with a bunch of patient pals, the set-pieces (and emotes) in this game become way more enjoyable.
Not since Splosion Man has meat-based platforming been so tender and moist and raw and bloody...
Raining fiery death on my robotic assailants from above was maybe the only pleasure I took from this game, but it was enough.
I didn't much care for the game, (felt like an empty sandbox) but it's a testament to the ending that it makes my list.
