Yep. I asked a question about Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 the other day, as you will recall, and everybody was quick to flip out. Almost everybody saw it as an argument, they wanted to call me a troll, and watch as their e-peen grow in size for having bashed a legitimate question. Now, I posted the same question on GameSpot, and well, the results speak for themselves. You can see the GameSpot thread here. So far, not too many people replied, but you know what? The people that did reply answered my question and didn't try to flame me or start an argument. I don't know if anybody will really care, but this is my blog and I will post it...and probably go to GameSpot for my choice forum site. Sure, they have console wars, but that's where the stupid trolls go. Everybody else just gos into their forums to talk about their or consoles, it's really not as bad as people make it out to be.
That's not to say I won't use GiantBomb as my choice video game site, just not the forums. They are terrible and filled with trolls. Now, everybody will call me a troll but ya' know what? I don't care! Almost everybody on this site is a troll and will be quick to bash somebody for their opinions or I guess, even just asking a question.
Now, I know GiantBomb will take pride in being one of the biggest troll sites, but hey, I don't care what trolls think! You will say you won't be missed blah blah blah, but I guess trolls thrive on trolls, so why would I missed?
GameSpot is not troll-free, but neither is any other site. GameSpot sure does have a way better community than GiantBomb though.
In my last blog, some of people kept saying, "Why would I buy a game if I'm just going to trade it in?" Here's why...
I like to own my games, I don't like to feel pressured like beating the game is a chore. If my friends log on and they want to play some Gears of War 2, I don't want to have to say, "Sorry, I can't. I only have 'X' more days to beat this game." I like to be able to spend as much times with games as I want. Even GameFly, I don't want to pay monthly to rent games because 1. I don't play enough games to rent 2 every month. And 2. It's still a rental.
What if I find out that in a month AC2 will have DLC? Well, I guess I'll have to go rent it again, or I could have just kept it and played and replayed it as much as I wanted to.
O.K, so I bought Assassin's Creed II on January 2nd. Gamestop said about a few days after that date that the trade in value in is $22.50 cash, and $28.00 in store credit, which is pretty decent. I plan on beating Assassin's Creed II before BioShock 2 comes out, so I can trade it in and get BioShock, or at least a great discount, and then beat BioShock before Battlefield: Bad Company 2 comes out, and then play Battlefield until Bioshock 2's prices drop. Halo Reach and other games are going to fit in some time this year, but I haven't worked all that out yet.
I have a feeling 2010 is going to be one great year for gaming.
O.K, just to start off, I'm saying all this as light-hearted as possible. And to those who read my last post, that wasn't my absolute honest opinion. I wanted to clarify things. I hope you read this and understand instead of reading the first line and lashing out at me.
Uncharted 2 is a very good game in the graphics department, above average for sure. I only played about 20 minutes of the full game, so I didn't realy see alot of environments. That's why I based my opinion off of the BETA and HD videos. I didn't feel comfortable saying a game had great graphics all around if I all I saw was a few trees, and I hope you can understand that. Though, I don't think the graphics have changed AT ALL from the BETA to the full game, from what I saw that is.
First off my biggest pet-peeve with it was its style. Going for mostly a jungle setting (I assume) with also snowy settings, it didn't look as good as Crysis, which also did both of those settings. Not that I'm saying this game didn't look great, I just didn't want to call it the absolute best graphics when another game did the same settings better, and we any logical person will say Crysis has the best graphics.
In terms of texture detail it looks great, but I didn't find myself staring at a textures to admire them like a piece of art, as I did with Killzone 2.
Nathans character model bugged me, from the back he was just, just amazing! It looked fantastic! But when ever I saw his face it bugged me...alot. His eyebrows made his face look wierd to me for some reason, it made his whole face look...un-natural? It was just a wierd looking face I think. His hair looked good but well, c'mon, Snake's/ Big Boss's mullet will forever hold a place in many of our hearts. It always waved, even if there wasn't wind, but that was O.K!
Lighting systems and art styles may just be the biggest things in graphics for me. No game as yet to top Killzone 2's amazing dynamic lighting system. From the flashes of lightning, to the light on your shotgun in a dark, narrow corridor, my jaw was dropped at everything.
I put my last posts in more harsh words because I was tired of people praising the games graphics like it was the second coming of Jeus. I hope people will understand this post more and not flag me for my opinions. That's what they are, I'm not going to lie.

The threads I've seen about ghosts to day made me want to share my opinion about "ghosts."
In Christian perspective. Yes, if you don't agree then stop reading.
As many people believe, there is life after death. People may go to Heaven or Hell on there own choices, but some people will think that individuals will not go to a Heaven or a Hell, but be in an afterlife on the dame Earth they lived on. This is true to a certain extent, let me explain. If one dies and enters into hell, somebody well known or of a horrible/famous death's soul will be in hell, but the body will not be. Demons with control the un-used body of Earth and control certain areas of the world. The readon fro this? Demons obviously want to escape from hell, any way they can. This is a prime example of why people will call a priest to come and cleanse the "haunted" area, though really anybody can do it, a priest is usually called. This will work many times rid the demon from a house, but as we hear in stories, the demon can come back. This is caused by the lack of, should I say, commitment. The owners of a house or other haunted place will not follow through with the cleansing and will often times turn the haunted are back into a sinful place where a demon can easily find a nice home. As we also see in stories, when people follow through with the cleansing (some people even Athiests converting to Christianity just to keep the demons away) you will most likely hear a happy ending. Most likely, not absolutely.
Priests and people using Bibles and prayers to rid houses and places of demons is a prime example that there are demons of hell, and not "ghosts" haunting a place when you read or see of hauntings. The demons will enter back into hell when Jesus once agains walks the Earth and all life is removed the universe.
If we're talking about ghosts, that's what I believe. I'm not sure about the whole theory of life even being on the earth after the death of a person, but I would believe then I would stand by what I said above. I'm saying any other opinion is right or wrong, but this is what I believe. And many other people for that matter. And in case you were wondering, I do believe Ouija boards are ver real, but I won't get into that.
Please no falming or trolling, unless you have a reasonable response against my theory. But then again, that would be hard to do because I'm not even sure that my theory is right, nobody really knows.

I feel like this term has been thrown around alot, and almost like people would fight that they aren't a fanboy. But is a fanboy really a bad thing?
I like video games more than alot people (but also less then alot of people.) You wouldn't find anything wrong with that now, would you? But somebody could say you're a video game fanboy. Now all of a sudden, it's an insult when it's really just a different way of saying the same thing.
(i.e I like/prefer X over X. Like and prefer being synonyms, but just imagine people finding one of those words insulting.)
It's like saying, "I think I'm a good looking guy." Then somebody else saying, "Dude you're so handsome!!!" but saying it as and insult.
Can't we all just stop stupid things like fanboy? I know that's alot to ask for, too much. But at least here on Giantbomb, is that too much too ask for? We are a community of integrity!!!
Update: So, is everybody saying it's a very bad thing to say Giantbomb is is an aswome game site and is 10,000x better than Gamespot? Soley because you would be a fanboy of on thing? I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, this is a serious question.

The only 3 games I can think of for GOTY are 1. Killzone 2 2. Battlefield: 1943 3. Halo 3:ODST.
I like 08 games more. My point is, the first 7 people to list a game, along with a picture or short video that can make me laugh, I will vote for that game.
Modern Warfare 2 will NOT be accepted, I have morals!

Well, I jsut started watching now because I forgot it was on tonight, but I'm sad/mad now. Grrrrrrr.
But GoW3 as most anticipated game makes me happy. Yaaaaaay.

Well, I signed onto SOCOM: Confrontation today. Patch 1.60 came out and I am very dissapointed with it. They are making you pay to use certain weapons and attatchments in the game, they made the Desert Eagle WEAKER after the community begged for it to be more powerful in patch 1.50, and they removed my favourite game mode, 4v4 Elimination. Of all the things they could do, removing anything is probably the worst possible thing.
As you may know, the same company that made that SOCOM game is also making SOCOM FTB3. Which will feature regenerating health (something that will make the tactical feel go down alot,) and other new things. From what we see, the game looks like it's turing out good, but trailers and screenshots can lie. The only thing I have to think about this game is what the company has done with previous games is the series. Those would be SOCOM: Confrontation, and
SOCOM: Tactical Strike. From those two games, I feel that this game is going to be no different. We all hated TS, but the same company that made that game is making FTB3, remember that when you're thinking how great this game will be.
Back to Confrontation. In the blog posts and forums, Slant Six Games claimed that there would be FREE DLC. But to them, free DLC is a mandatory patch, and they will be charging $14.99 for new maps and weapons that should have been in the game in the first place!
*Sigh* these games make me think about when SOCOM games were the best console shooters out.
