Everything about the demo turned me off to Final Fantasy XV. The combat is like a really poorly done copy of the Souls games with some DMC. The game looks awful, at best it's a really well done HD port of a last generation game. And it had like a thick haze to everything. Maybe it was because it was supposed to be a dream or cover up performance issues? I don't know. From this demo and all the trailers the story has such a bland, cookie-cutter JRPG feel to it.
What a bummer. I know it was a demo but I honest kept thinking "10 years, for this?". No thanks.
It's a really fun game but the frame rate and AUDIO quality drops are so significant that they dampen my enjoyment of the game. How does this happen? I'm sure everyone is going to run to say it's because the PS4 just isn't powerful but how could that possibly effect a game like this?
Maybe it's because I was expecting Battlefield with Star Wars (everyone was saying how Battlefront was just Battlefield with Star Wars) but Battlefront is pretty disappointing. I wish there were classes, more options on the battlefield, weapon variety, verticality, etc. There's just no strategy to the gameplay, no variety. It's just run and gun. Playing Battlefield with friends was great because you can come up with different ways to attack objectives. I can't imagine voice chat would have much impact on the multiplayer in Battlefront because there's nothing to talk about. And thinking about the major set pieces in the Star Wars franchise I don't expect much to change. Battlefront seems pretty bare bones, mindless, and not fun.
Also the balancing and hit detection is f'd but it is a beta.
