Just wanted to contrast my list of JRPGs I haven't played with a list of ones I have. I'm going to place them in order of progression (completed games at the top, games I've barely played at the bottom).
It's a work-in-progress, so I'll be adding RPGs to the list when I remember how far I got with them. I'll probably just leave some blank entries for now and sort them out later.

Last played: Sometime in the 00s. Yep, I really haven't completed my first (and favourite) RPG. I got up to the final dungeon (for the 4th time, in fact). The memory card is no longer with me, so a complete restart would be in order.
Last played: 2007-2008. On the final sidequest before the final boss. As I watched the Endurance Run and saw the best ending, I'm probably not going to get round to it for a while. It'd also have to be a restart, as I no longer have the save.
Last played: 2007ish. Made it up the final boss. Gave up due to the annoying unskippable dialogue in the middle of it and having no way to grind out skills that might help me. Will return to it one day (probably a restart).
Last played: 2007-2008. Made it pretty far into the game (after a significant event occurs). I think I played it on my PS3, so I should still have the save. Whether I'd to want play it from there again is another thing...
Last played: 2006. I believe I got pretty far into it. Can't remember how far exactly, but I at least remember what happened when I last played.
Last played: 2008. Got up to a key battle (a battle you'd know about if you played enough FF7...I'll say no more).
Last played: 2007. Played a fair amount of it. The grinding...Oh, the grinding...
Last played: 2006. Forgot where I am exactly, but I played a good amount of it.
Played: 15th until the 16th of May, 2012. Only two days I know, but I really didn't get on with it. The gameplay was too monotonous for me. The weapons also broke with little warning, hence how I lost my best weapon (which was the straw that broke the camel's back). It had some interesting stuff (like the town creation stuff and the weapon upgrade system), but the bad outweighed the good. A pity.
Last played: 2010. Got stuck at an early Eidolon battle.
Last played: 2003. I don't remember playing much of it. Not high on my list, due to the lack of story compared to the other FFs. That said, if I pick an RPG at random again...
Last played: 2003. Just played the opening bit to see what it was like. I wouldn't rule out returning to it one day.
Last played: Early 00s. Got fairly far. I seem to remember a fight at a dock when I last played it...
Last played: Early 00s. Got stuck at a boss inside a cave.
Last played: 2007. Played a decent amount. Can't for the life of me remember where I was. Doesn't matter, as I have to start again anyway.
Last played: 2007. Got up to a giant red robotic boss. Not sure how far I was.
Last played: 2008. I seem to remember being on the 2nd of a series of fights against the main bad guy's lackies.
Last played: 2008. I was in a forest, I believe.
Last played: 2007 (PSP version). I think I only visited one town.
