I'm not an alarmist by nature, so when I heard that (then) Tropical Storm Gustav was heading straight for New Orleans, I was not among the masses that began conjuring up images of exactly 3 years ago when the K word hit New Orleans.  I saw it as a way to spend some time with the fiance before I had to go back to work and resume life as I know it.  However, sitting in a car for 8 hours (the trip from New Orleans to Mobile takes 3 - normally) and listening to nothing but 870am got me a little more than apprehensive about this whole situation.  

Now that it has passed, and New Orleans was spared (for the most part) I'm riding out the remainder of the week in Mob town while the soon-to-be wifey is finishing her last classes here so we can move back officially on Friday.  Anywho....

About me:

• My favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy Tactics.  If someone would make a multiplayer version of that game, I don't think I'd have ever played Gears of War, Halo, World of Warcraft or really, anything else that was multiplayer. Ever.
• I'm completely and utterly obsessed with Little Big Planet, to the point that I might never play another game that has multiplayer ever again, unless they came out with an FFT online model.
• I'll play pretty much any genre but I do lean towards RPGs (MMOs or JRPGs - even Action RPGs), FPS games, and yes, I buy Madden - yearly.
• I've owned two Nintendo DS systems.  I've owned 10 games in all, ranging from Mario Hoops to Final Fantasy III and yes, the DS is sweet, but I cannot break myself from Console games and computers long enough to sit in my own dwelling and stare at a 3'' screen.  I can't do it.  In fact, the only time I've ever put a reasonable amount of time into a handheld since I was 10 was on PSP.  Any takers?  Yeah, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.
• I played Everquest. A lot.
• I play World of Warcraft. A LOT.
• Rapid sports fan, football season is officially here and I may froth at the mouth sometime between now and the end of January.
• I don't like bullet points that much, it's just cleaner.

So anyways, there I is.  I'm going to play in Photoshop some today, probably play a ROMed version of Crono Trigger (if I can find my USB gamepad) and do dailies in WoW.  Then I'll probably read somewhere in the vicinity of 70 pages on teh tubez about LBP.
