  • I am pretty excited. The campaign looks great and firefight looks pretty cool. I get to try it out in Dallas at the MLG event at the end of the month. I'll let you know more then. :)

  • E73 like the RRoD? I didn't know they were the same. I fixed my 360 after it gave my the RRoD but I know nothing about the E73 error.

Hey everybody! I just wanted to let anyone that was interested in watching an amateur 17 minutes movie that I acted in and was edited amazingly was just posted on Vimeo. We had a pretty large opening (more people than I expected anyways...) and had a party at IHop later. We recorded during the first semester of this year. Can anyone guess which character I am? What do you think? :)

I picked up Watchmen on Blu Ray a couple days ago because I really enjoyed the movie in theatres. Before seeing the movie, I had not read the graphic novel that the movie was obviously based off of. I am not sure whether I would have enjoyed the movie more if I had or if it would have had the opposite effect.  Would anyone suggest that I read the graphic novel now or is the movie such a close conversion there really is no need? Rorschach is probably one of my favorite characters of all time. Partially because his beliefs are an extreme of something I understand. He is so cynical... there were times in the movie where I laughed when I obviously wasn't supposed to be. Maybe there is something wrong with me. I wouldn't be surprised.

Has anyone played Watchmen: The End is Nigh? It looks like fun but I don't know if it is worth 1600 points. Seems a tad expensive for a short arcade game. How many hours is it?

In the last month I have read all the Harry Potter books up before the release of The Half-Blood Prince. My mom, being very conservative, confiscated the books when my grandmother sent them to my Brother and I for Christmas many years ago. She says she never did that but I know she is lying. :p I really wish I had started reading them when all the hype was going on. I sort of rushed through them in order to be caught up for the movie but it was still great all the same. I also have an odd fascination with Hermione Granger...

Somehow my Mass Effect save disappeared from my HDD so I started playing back through Mass Effect as a Soldier class this time. I forgot what a great game it is. The dialogue and story are awesome and the combat and leveling are really fun and addictive. I want to max out my stats before the release of Mass Effect 2. I have some pretty good guesses on what happens in the next game that are pretty easy to see. It'll be interesting if I'm right.

I have been playing Halo 3 since launch day and still, to this day, have not got my 50. I have almost 2,000 experience and my highest skill is a 46 in TS. I can’t take it anymore! I have somewhat of an excuse because I never played Halo 2 so I had to jump in deep and got wrecked by all the veteran players that crossed over that night. That shouldn’t be an issue anymore though. While I am not the greatest, I play with 50’s all the time in custom games and online and regularly beat them in BR battles. Usually, I lose because of an AFK team member or someone named yoyokid96 that goes -15. For some reason, it extremely bothers me getting into Halo 3 and seeing my birdy and nub bar staring me in the face.

I am determined! I want my 50! I want to be a general! Give me two weeks. Two weeks time and I will be a general. Wish me luck.

Well, so far, I have just been lazy and not doing much but next week I am heading of to Possum Kingdom lake for a BSA scout camp that could possibly be enjoyable. I am not sure whether it will be though because of all the annoying 12 year boys that we also have to take... *sigh*

In July I am supposed to visit relatives in Missouri at some point and at the end of August I am going to the MLG tournament in Dallas. Not to compete, just to watch. There are several pro's that I have wanted to meet in person and watch and this will be my chance.

Of course, during all this time, I will be working.

My 360, last week, decided that it no longer wanted to live. I turned it on that unfortunate day to be greeted by three red blinking lights. A couple years ago, I had bought my 360 new off of ebay but it turns out that this supposedly new 360 was missing the warranty sticker. Whether is was refurbished or not my warranty was no longer valid. Since sending it into Microsoft was longer an option I decided to poke around the internet and see if there was some way I could fix it myself.

I stumbled upon this website. It supplied all the tools I would need and has an excellent video tutorial. Actually following the directions and opening the 360 case were more difficult then I expected. After everything was complete my 360 is now working. For how long? I honestly have no clue. Hopefully it will work until at least Christmas.

So, if you ever end up in my predicament. I would suggest at least trying this fix. I can vouch that it works.

jakob187 would like to remind folks that he's pissed about the PC version of MW2. Doesn't mean he won't be rockin' the fuck out of the console version!

sidescroller got his Mario Hat from Club Nintendo. Totally feels good about it, as he payed no money, just took registration codes out of blockbuster display boxes.
