I picked up Watchmen on Blu Ray a couple days ago because I really enjoyed the movie in theatres. Before seeing the movie, I had not read the graphic novel that the movie was obviously based off of. I am not sure whether I would have enjoyed the movie more if I had or if it would have had the opposite effect. Would anyone suggest that I read the graphic novel now or is the movie such a close conversion there really is no need? Rorschach is probably one of my favorite characters of all time. Partially because his beliefs are an extreme of something I understand. He is so cynical... there were times in the movie where I laughed when I obviously wasn't supposed to be. Maybe there is something wrong with me. I wouldn't be surprised.
Has anyone played Watchmen: The End is Nigh? It looks like fun but I don't know if it is worth 1600 points. Seems a tad expensive for a short arcade game. How many hours is it?
In the last month I have read all the Harry Potter books up before the release of The Half-Blood Prince. My mom, being very conservative, confiscated the books when my grandmother sent them to my Brother and I for Christmas many years ago. She says she never did that but I know she is lying. :p I really wish I had started reading them when all the hype was going on. I sort of rushed through them in order to be caught up for the movie but it was still great all the same. I also have an odd fascination with Hermione Granger...
Somehow my Mass Effect save disappeared from my HDD so I started playing back through Mass Effect as a Soldier class this time. I forgot what a great game it is. The dialogue and story are awesome and the combat and leveling are really fun and addictive. I want to max out my stats before the release of Mass Effect 2. I have some pretty good guesses on what happens in the next game that are pretty easy to see. It'll be interesting if I'm right.
