@eternalvigil: Yes it was, but if you look at the video you can see that they could expand that idea by looking at what Nintendo did with Mario Maker. I personally think that Mega Man "Maker" or Universe would be fantastic

Of course it's easy to make a Mario Maker game with other 2D franchises but I think that Mega Man is different enough to deserve it's own "Mario Maker" game. Since Mario is a pure platformer and Mega Man is an action platformer with lots of different weapons I think the two games would be so different.

The idea of using any weapon from any Mega Man game against different enemies is very pleasing to me, and that was made possible in Mega Man The Wily Wars on Sega Genesis (Mega Drive).

About the boss issue I agree but it would be cool if you could choose if your level has an endboss or not, since there are a lot of different Robot Masters available and other bosses you would have a lot of different possibilities on how to end your level.

With the recent success Nintendo has had with Super Mario Maker is now the time for Capcom to revitalize the concept behind the cancelled Mega Man Universe?

I think so, the possibilities with a similar Mega Man game where you could use assets from all of the games in the classic series are nearly endless.

I can support this list, it was always going to be a contest between Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us and since Bioshock is multiplatform it had a much greater chance of winning.

Sad to see The Puppeteer getting such a low score but it makes sense since it didn't sell at all, only 2 votes for it and one of them is from me.

If anyone is interested, here is my list of the best games of the year I got to play

I had the same question earlier this summer. I ended up buying both. With PS+ you have alot of great games to play right away so the Vita will last longer as of now. Also the Cross-Buy with PS3 is great, I have so many games available for PS Vita although I have only bought 3 games especially with Vita in mind.

The Wii U has (in my opinion) 3 games to play right now. New Super Mario Bros U, Nintendo Land and ZombiU but the games are coming in the upcoming months. So buying a Wii U right now won't last very long but will probably be a better purchase in the future.

I however am very pleased with both consoles but I recommend getting a Vita first (especially after the price reduction)

PS1 for me, that system blew me away and I really began playing games as much as I could. I started to spend alot of money on games and even buying magazines to see which games were good or coming out in the near future.

Previously I had played some NES, Genesis (Mega Drive) and of course PC but PS1 really got me into gaming

Once I have been angry about a review. The biggest newspaper in Iceland reviewed GTA IV (the newspaper never reviews games) and it was obvious that the person reviewing the game didn't know alot about games. His writing felt really rushed and he criticized some things that really showed that he barely played the game. For example he said that the game only had auto targeting which was wrong, the game had both auto targeting and free aim. Then he ended up giving the game 60/100.

It angered me because video games do not receive alot of attention in Iceland and finally when a big title like GTA IV was coming out it got such a badly written review.

I'm with CliffyB on this one. I thought they were fun at first but once they started dictating how I played my games I gave up on them.

Can't agree with you more, I began to feel I was playing more for Achievements/Trophies and stopped letting myself just enjoy the game for what it is. I loved the fact that the Last of Us has pretty few trophies and that there are no story related trophies except for completing the game, was fantastic to completely miss the "Trophy Unlocked" thing while playing

What's your opinion on Achievements/Trophies? I used to love them and did my best to get as many as I could but for the last 2 years I just really don't care anymore. The game at least has to be pretty amazing for me to do something just to earn a trophy.

Then I saw this from Kotaku when they asked Cliff Bleszinski this question:

1. What impact do you think the popularity of Achievements has had on gaming?

Bleszinski: I used to like them. The more I worked around with the system the less I liked them. Watching my wife do a bunch of silly things in a game just for the points bothers the heck out of me. If you ask me, a system more like what Valve is doing with their cards is far more compelling for the future of games.

What do you think? Are Achievements/Trophies still relevant, did you used to like them or did you never care for them?
