Halo 1 last impressions, Halo 2 firsts, and IT humor

Finally beat the thing last night. Had I written the prior entry knowing about what the final level was, I would probably have said something about my dread of what was to come. In a way, my ignorance helped me cope with the shockingly painful Warthog Roller Coaster Ride of Reseting. Absolutely horrible. You spend the whole game training to fight, then the climax has nothing to do with fighting. Really guys? I still get aggravated thinking about it.
I started Halo 2 almost immediately afterward and was very happy with the more cinematic feel of the cutscenes, as well as the improved graphics. The starting characters had some weird clipping/stumbling thing they kept doing, and I'm not quite used to the dual wield mechanic, but I'd say as long as I can get used to the tweaked aiming and control respond this should be more enjoyable.
