Great. So they release two shitty games in a row, take Canadian taxpayer money that was in part supposed to be used to employ up to 97 people, and then go on massive layoffs putting people out of work and going back on what they were supposed to do. I feel sorry for the people that lost their jobs but it's hard to feel sorry for Silicon Knights or Dyack.

They better not get another fucking grant.

I'm optimistic because, and only because, it's Rockstar. They have been the most consistent developer this gen. Even the fucking table tennis game was fun. However hearing that there's a shitty 2 weapon system yet again in a game that shouldn't have it worries me. 2 weapon systems flat out dumb down a game. You can call it making it strategic if you want, but it's only strategic if they don't always place the perfect gun for the job just before the job. They always do though. Simply put it removes options and that's never ever a good thing. Also removing the comic book noir type of cutscenes just seems stupid to me, like they're trying to branch out to an entirely new audience that want shiny GRAPHIX because they have ADHD, while still trying to placate the hardcore followers of the series by even having something similar in there at all. And the little bit about it being like gunplay ballet directed by Micheal Bay makes me want to kill something.

Call me a pessimistic optimist, because right now I'm honestly unsure.

Oh for flying fucks sake. I need to start doing media blackouts on things that I'm interested in otherwise I get shit spoiled. All the time. Even if it's a bait and switch I'd still like to go into it blind as a bat(man) instead of knowing major plot points.

First was Heavy Rain, then RDR, now this. Next thing I know Nathan Drake is going to die at the end of Uncharted 3 and I'll know about it before actually seeing it.

Well it'll probably be better than the 10 people that were out in the parking lot that Bethesda had do 95% of the voice-work for Oblivion.

Although it's also hard to top Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean. Stewart has one of the best voices ever, behind other greats like Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Sean Connery, and a few others. As for Sean Bean he just... fit. I didn't even know it was Boromir until I was told it was Boromir. But it's still good news nonetheless that Sydow is in Skyrim.

Venice. For our 1 year anniversary this year we went to Japan (Osaka to Tokyo). For our 2 year we already have an idea of a trip to Cairo, but we have to see the political situation there. If not Cairo then probably Vegas. Might as well travel now in the prime of our lives seeing as when we have a family it won't be possible and when we get old it'll just be for sightseeing. Because eventually it will all be about work and family. Family and work. Nothing else. And given our professions the hours are going to be unforgiving.

As a side note though Japan is a fucking beautiful country. I definitely want to go back and in particular to Hokkaido. So if people haven't gone try to give it a shot at least once.

Battlefield 3. But I am completely biased.

I don't mind the CoD series, I really don't. It can be mindless fun and sometimes that's what a game SHOULD be. However I will never ever buy a CoD game until the series sees some real evolution instead of getting shoveled out. And further to that point I will never buy an Infinity Ward developed game ever again. Period. Reason why? Modern Warfare 2. The amount of support that they flat out neglected is insane. When I got rid of it there was infinite One Man Army grenade launchers and Commando lunges with insane invincibility frames, both not fixed. Before that was the uber 1887 akimbo that could shoot someone at assault rifle range that was patched by cut/pasting the Ranger akimbo stats over top of it instead of doing some actual work. Before that was infinite ammo lobbies and the Javelin glitch. Then add on THREE different versions of infinite Care Package and Emergency Airdrop glitches. They simply do not give a fuck about their games. Even CoD4 had problems with the M40A3 w/ ACOG being a one shot kill anywhere, even on the toe.

But who the fuck am I to tell you what to do. Buy the one that will make you happy, and typically that involves playing with friends, and typically friends will have CoD over Battlefield.

It's IGN. I like to think they stand around one of those dart carnival games and throw darts at random nouns, adjectives, and verbs then try write a coherent sentence out of it, then write an article around that. It's either that or manatees like in that South Park episode about Family Guy. Actually I'm gonna go with the manatees.

Why Final Fantasy will lick Wii Fit's face.

Is God of War a LittleBigPlanet for adults?

Top Ten moistest elevators in videogames.

Is Animal Crossing a Animal Crossing for adults?

It's pretty damn scary how accurate that thing is. Enough said.

Ahhh yes. The Triangle Choke Joke.

I love him though. Anyone that can make me laugh is good in my book.

@AiurFlux: Thanks very much!

Maybe I've should've clarified this earlier but I actually play Zerg and 10 pool is the only strategy I've practiced extesively (and it works ok most of the times), often going into mass roach if that doesn't work (and corrupters and Brood Lords maybe perhaps). I find, on avarage it's after 15 minutes, or so, when I drop in effeciency. When early game have failed and I have to deal with decisions, counter attacks, expansions and adapting my strategy.

I main Zerg myself, so it might be that you're trying to get a little bit crazy early on. Zerg is a race that you want to take slowly, which seems counter intuitive since they have some of the fastest units in the game. A 10 pool is a really risky strategy, but it can work so long as you have a long term goal. If your goal is to win in 10 minutes then you're fucked at 11 minutes. Always focus on the long term. But a Zerg should always be about expanding, poking at the front of your opponents base to scout, sacking an overlord to scout, flanking around. It's kind of funny really, a Zerg has this whole "Hold... hold... hold... *whew*" type of mindset.

That said, you did pick what is easily the most difficult race to play as. I mean a Zerg late game with good larva management and constantly remaxing a swarm is incredibly hard to stop, but getting to the point where you can do that is almost impossible. Stick with it though. :)
