My first two backlog playthroughs are soon wrapping up. By Wednesday this week, I will have finished playing through Super Mario 64 and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
I'm set to start going through Ganon's Castle tomorrow and have the final battle the following day. Right now, I've got EVERYTHING...well, not quite actually.
I could not get the last heart piece in time. The one I was after required me to, as Young Link, catch a ten pound fish at the pond. Problem is, I couldn't get any. Doing it as Adult Link didn't work, as I only got a red rupee as a reward. I could only catch a 6 pound one and the rest were either 3 or 4, so I just got tired of it. So, for now, I'm just gonna ignore it.
But besides that, I got every equipment upgrade and Gold Skulltula. Pretty good.
As for Mario, I'm at 110 Stars. Just so Wednesday is dedicated to the bosses, I'm gonna get more than the usual 5 tomorrow an go up to 119. Get the star on Bowser in the Sky and promptly kick his ass.
But I gotta say, this whole thing I've been doing...I've had a lot of fun. It's just so great to finally find some time I can devote to games I've always wanted to replay.
Yet at the same time, I almost seem exhausted. Wasn't so much a problem at the start, but now with school work increasing, playing Muramasa during my spare time and STILL fit in some play time for Animal Crossing. Quite endearing. Still, it all worked out.
I'm also kinda happy with how my school week's schedule has turned out. I'm actually having a four day weekend starting Thursday due to a teacher convention or some other crap. Seeing as I'll finish both games before my long weekend starts, it's a good sign that I'll have a much deserved break before I start on my next round.
Not gonna stop now. Wish me luck.
