I just happened to give up hope of a patch ever coming out earlier today, and stuck the disk in. It patched, and I would say it's definitely foggier. Can't comment on the other fixes as I hadn't played more than 20 mins of it before.
Given that booth babes are completely unnecessary, who suffers if they no longer appear at cons? I don't think there's anyone on this site who can honestly say that their con/expo experience would be lessened if they knew they wouldn't see any scantily-clad ladies with fake smiles.
One Monday morning at school, back when I was a teenager, my friend Chris came up to me and told me the following: At the weekend he'd been into Ultima (our local indie videogame shop in Guildford) and there was some guy there showing off this game he'd made himself where you played god and managed the lives of tiny people. Crazy to think that Peter Molyneux once demoed his game to a shopful of teenagers. So glad he's going back to the small-scale operation.
EDIT: What is that Autistic kid looking into a snowglobe from?
It's from the final episode of the television series St. Elsewhere where you find that the entire series took place inside the mind of the autistic son of one of the doctors as he stared into the snow globe.
Apparently if you trace all the crossovers with St Elsewhere and other TV shows, plus all the other shows those shows cross over with (and so on) there are about 280 TV shows, including Lost, The Cosby Show, Dr Who and The Brady Bunch that must, canonically, exist inside that kid's mind: http://home.vicnet.net.au/~kwgow/crossovers.html
Really wish they wouldn't have made a spoiler of ME2 a main headline.
What's a spoiler? That Miranda can die? If you played ME1 you know your team-mates can die. Or are you referring to the Suicide Mission? Sorry, not a spoiler. From the product description on Steam:
"To even attempt this perilous mission, Shepard must assemble the galaxy’s most elite team and command the most powerful ship ever built. Even then, they say it would be suicide. Commander Shepard intends to prove them wrong."
Or more blatantly from the back of the box:
"They call it a suicide mission. Prover them wrong."
If that doesn't tip you off, the point in the first half hour of ME2 where you are told you are going on a suicide mission will. The "Survive the Suicide Mission" trophy is also a bit of a giveaway.
It's about as spoilerish as saying the fellowship have to take the Ring to Mount Doom in "Lord of the Rings".
I dont understand how people can have some of their crew members die during the suicide mission, if you did every misssion and upgraded everything its impossible for them to die, i easily had everyone survive on all my playthroughs.
Not true - I'd maxed out everything, but some characters aren't up to the job.
I finished Mass Effect 2 for the first time this week. I only lost Kasumi, having foolishly thought that a master thief would be perfect for crawling through vents and opening doors. I redid that final mission to save her but it was the only the second time in the whole game where I went back to change my choices.
Losing Miranda sucks. If she's not there for the final scene of the mission you don't get to see her metaphorically giving the Illusive Man the finger and finally committing to Shepherd. Felt sooo good to see I'd won her over.
