The first and third acts of Red Dead are outstanding. While it is a fairly standard plot of trying to run away from past mistakes, the portrayal and performances in the medium of an open-world game makes it feel fresh.
Ask me what happens in the Mexico stint and I'm at a loss. Seems like it was shoe-horned in because they wanted a change of scenery after you finish the Armadillo storyline.
I hope they've realised that the bonus stars aren't quite as BS as Jeff and Brad think they are. In fact, they are completely predictable in the early games.
The switch from Jeff to Brad as host has confirmed everything I thought about Jeff, which has been backed up on this thread (better at reacting than leading).
An interesting point was brought up early on after the switch. When Jeff was editing the podcast in the past, he'd just slap on the music for each section and post it, whereas Ryan/Brad would/does cut out a lot of the quiet moments. As such, the conversation seems much tighter, less dead air. For example, the early Drew podcasts (July-August 2013) are painful to listen to.
I imagine it'll be similar to last year. Patrick, with fewer commitments to family and friends will probably fly over for the week; Alex might as well. Vinny, on the other hand, will almost certainly stay in NY.
I've been playing Football Manager for the last 2 and a bit years, playing through 2011 to the current 2014 edition. I've ended up with about 2000 hours total so far.
Fallout, as with most Bethesda games, is clunky. The UI is, for the most part, terrible (I can see why they go for that style, but it compromises functionality) and the combat system and art style is as boring as it gets.
Galaxy is perfectly crafted, from the level design to the soundtrack. It oozes the warm, lovable Nintendo that everyone knows and gives us an that, despite the deficiencies in the hardware, can stand up to the Xbox and PS3 even today. It would be a travesty to see this go so soon.
