Games I've Beaten

Just a list of the games I've completed in no particular order. Try to remember as much as I can. I am only going to list beatable games; games with an end.
Games with a story that you finish.
So no driving games or something like that. No Guitar Hero or Rock Band (although I have "beat" them all).
No Tony Hawk Games either (although I've beaten nearly all of them), that doesn't count as a story.

Edit: Done for a while, think of more and fill in the captions later.

List items

  • Very addicting RPG. The best part about this game was the pacing. I normally don't sit around playing my DS, but this game kept me wanting more, and was funny and entertaining the whole way through.

  • Sort of a Tech Demo of what the DS could do. Got all 150 stars. Yes they added 30 stars to this game if you are unaware. Really fun.

  • Very good RPG. Final fantasy story lines are sort of hit or miss with me. Some really turn me off, but this one was right up my alley. Love all the characters and fighting mechanics. And it was decently hard too. Great game.

  • One of my all time favorites. When this came out it was like WOW, I never thought I could be so sucked into a games atmosphere. Love the story, love it's creepiness, basically just lover everything about it. If you haven't played it you can pick it up at nearly any store for like 15$ with all the expansions. Go do so now.

  • Not as good as the original IMHO, but still insanely good on it's own. So much innovation, and nearly every valve shooter today rests on the groundwork that this game laid.

  • It really just is a continuation of HL2, it feels like you never left. Not much in the way of innovation, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

  • What hasn't been said about portal. GO PLAY NOW.

  • Recently just S-Ranked this for Giantbomb. Great game.

  • Oh the game that I would throw hundreds of hours on. The single player isn't exactly anything to write home about, the multiplayer is where it's at. Almost S-Ranked. Missing one achievement. Played this game to death.

  • Absolutely shitty game. Wish I never bought it. You can read my other lists to find out why I hate it.

  • Bioshock is one of those games that serves it's purpose, and nothing more. You go into it and are taken for an exciting ride the whole way through, but once it's over there is little need to see it again. Sort of like the sixth sense or other thrillers. Once you know the ending it's a little weird and not as good the second time. Still the first play through was phenomenal.

  • I remember renting this game because of never playing the original, and beating it. I rarely beat games when I rented them *at that point in my life*, so to beat it was kind of cool, and it has stuck with me. Really funny game.

  • Just beat this. Great return to form for a Metroidvania fanatic like myself. It also fixes some of the flaws in that system. Loved this game, VERY ADDICTING, and probably the best DLC ever.

  • Never played the original, went off the great reviews it got. Pretty fun and challenging game, but frustrating at times. Ending boss was pretty tough, but a lot of fun.

  • Braid is one of those games that only comes along once in like a decade. It's something you have to tilt your head at and stare. More of an art piece than anything. It's an experience that you'll be glad that you took, you just might not understand everything.

  • One of those heavy hitters that will be remembered years to come as a benchmark. Sort of like the Half-life's or Halo's. Not because they are FPS's, but they way they are designed, and the way they captivate people. Great fucking game.

  • There's something oddly enticing about collecting bolts, I don't know what it is, but it's just great. I actually rented this game because I love Indiana Jones and I thought it looked like fun. Completed it and it was a very fun experience.

  • Maybe that first kind of WOW experience on the PS2. Seeing all the stuff that was possible was a real eye opener. Had a lot of fun just messing around. Only "bad" thing was that it was kind of a bleak melancholy world. Lots of grey in it. Thankfully the sequels fixed that.

  • Pretty much the polar opposite of it's predecessor. It was bright, colorful, and 80's. lol. One of the best soundtracks ever for a game. Loved the story *even though it was a direct scarface rip off*. Probably my favorite GTA game, even though it's not technically the best.

  • This is where Rockstar sort of said let's pull out all the stops and see if we can cram as much into a game as possible. And boy did they. This game has SO much content it's amazing. So much to do and see, I can't believe it wasn't on two discs lol.

  • Sort of like going back to the atmosphere of GTA3 with a new coat of paint. It had its problems, but it set the new benchmark for sandbox games. It will be very interesting to see the second and third iterations of 4.

  • One of my favorite games of all time. Call me an anime nerd, call me a japan-o-file, call me a stupid fanboy, but I love this game. Probably one of the only games I've played through 3 times . Mainly why it's so awesome is nostalgia. I grew up with these characters and it all just meshes very well. Add a complex, but deeply interesting story line, likeable square characters, an intricate fighting system, a great soundtrack, and you have yourself a winning formula in my book.

  • One of those "let's see if this can work on a DS" games. It was pretty ambitious and worked pretty well. It had its fair share of problems, but in the end I had fun with it.

  • As far as the story and single player goes It's kind of meh to me. Nothing wrong with it, it just didn't dazzle me.

  • Same story as the third.

  • Aside from the story being "not too fleshed out" the ending to this game was just plain badass. I must of replayed the ending mission like 50 times with my friends just because it was so fun. I could see Halo 3 trying to capture that, but it didn't have as much effect as this game.

  • LOL. Probably beat this game like 30 times. For it's time it was just a completely fun game. A Classic

  • Actually a pretty decent FPS for the PS2. I had a considerable amount of fun with this one. Last level is really weird. Moonraker meets the last level of Lost Planet. Why do devs often just completely flip the games mechanics for the last level lulz.

  • Mindless fun, that's all it is. The story is complete garbage, but I guess that wasn't really why I was playing the game. Bosses lacked the strategy the first game required. Fun, but nothing special.

  • Great hack and slash. Extremely impressive for the Xbox. Very fun game.

  • Played on the virtual console. Was looking for a VC game and saw this one had great reviews. Never played the original. Ended up really liking it. Enough to play through and beat the game, even though it was devilishly hard.

  • Nostalgia plain and simple. If you don't like DKC I will fight you and that's no lie. I will defend this games honor to the death. Rare you made some pretty kickass games in the past. We miss you. Probably beat this game well over 20 times, at least. Actually am getting pretty good at speed running it. Finished it at my friends lake cabin in little over an hour. One of the best games I've ever played.

  • Hated this game. You don't take Donkey Kong out of a Donkey Kong game. Let me repeat myself. YOU DON'T TAKE DONKEY KONG OUT OF A DONKEY KONG GAME. Even back then I found the premise completely asinine. Game lacked nearly all the charm as the first game. And don't get me started on the third one. Although the third one was graphically Amazing, it sucked huge balls. Anyway I didn't enjoy my play through of this, but I got through it.

  • Ugg. All I can say is eww. Like what happened? ewww. Sort of speechless and too tired to delve into why this game blows balls. Story completely awful, doesn't live up to the standards of 4, not scary at all, cookie-cutter copy of 4, no improvements (in fact it had "dis-improvements") *yeah that's right I can make up words*. That about sums it up without going into too much detail.

  • Amazing. Replayed this game maybe 10 different times. So good it was ported 3 times. Everything's already been said about it though lol.

  • Never got a chance to play this game. My buddy wanted to show me it, so he brought over his Gamecube version, and basically speed-runned (speed runned?, speed- ran?, idk whatever) it with me. For it's time I bet it was very impressive and probably holds a lot of nostalgia. I guess it was a little lost on me though. It was fun though.

  • Never played the original so my friend brought of his Gamecube remake version and we played that. I really enjoyed the remake and found it pretty creepy. Good to see where it all started from.

  • Rented this with my friend. This game is actually really fun. It's kind of mindless and not really an RE game, but who cares. I'd say give it a shot if you haven't, you'll have a good time. Especially playing after you've had a few beers. Lots of fun.

  • Played it on the PS2. This was my first Resident Evil game I ever played. So sort of hold it the highest *besides 4's awesomeness* It was genuinely a scary game. It was kind of cheap though; it had A LOT of jump scares IE dogs crashing through the windows, exploding buses, and just random things jumping at you from no where. A pretty creepy story. And a very crazy ending. Loved it.

  • Oh Square how I love how good you are at taking my childhood favorites and remixing them into mind-blowingly good RPG's. One of the best RPG's-heck Mario games of all time. LOVE the music. Love the comedy in it. Love the story. Awesome to see a new villian. Loved the difficulty. I know I sound like a broken record, but truly I do LOVE this game.

  • I played this on the N64, when it first came out, pretty easy.

  • I remember my family use to rent Playstations. If you're too young to remember that, Yes you could rent video game systems from blockbusters, yeah it was fucking badass. Also they came in this huge suitcase that was awesome lulz. Anyway I rented this game a lot when I rented playstations. I had a blast with it though. Loved the animal riding levels and such. Great nostalgia.

  • Pretty fond memories of this game. See at the time, my family didn't have enough money for a playstation for Christmas. My parents sat down my brother and I and told us that we wouldn't be getting a PS for Christmas because of money reasons. So we were pretty bummed. But then Christmas came and out of no where my cousin bought us one, totally un-provoked because we let his girlfriend live in our guest bedroom for free. So I was ecstatic as a little kid. It was a total surprise, probably my best Christmas ever. So with my Playstation I got this game. I stayed up all night long and played through the next day and beat it. I had never done that with a game before so I was pretty stoked. Sorry for this long story lulz.

  • Meh

  • My buddy bought the MGS collection for his PS2 with all the games except MGS4 and we ended up staying up all night and beating this. Pretty epic game for the PS. I can see why it was so technically impressive at the time.

  • Oh many many many long hours playing this game with my friends and my brother. We loved playing co-op and beating the game with every character. Very fond memories of this game. Very dark game though. Indeed it was was twisted, sort of my first taste of that kind of grim storyline.

  • Meh

  • Something about this game I just love. It's sort of a guilty pleasure. A lot of people give this game shit, but I don't think it's warranted. I had a lot of fun with this game and loved luigis personality. And the fact he got his own game. Also notable, the physics for the sheets when they would get sucked up by the vacuum was amazing for its time. I remember being astounded at how good it looked.

  • Beaten all the console Zelda's, but none of the handhelds. Mainly just because I never played most of the handhelds, and also I just don't have the time or patience.

As for this game, I am sort of a weird Zelda fan. I never played any of the Zelda games up until Wind Waker. Don't ask me why, but for some reason something turned me off about the games. But when WW came out I gave it a chance and absolutely loved it; still maybe my favorite Zelda. So now I was hooked. I asked to borrow my friends N64 and went back and Beat Oot and played a little MM. As for Oot it was amazing. Rarely I will find nostalgia or be impressed by a game that is generations old that I've never played. It was sort of an apifany because I understood why everyone loved it so much. Great game and everything has already been said about it.

  • My first Zelda game ever. *Yes I have played Nearly all now*. Absolutely loved this game. Most people were turned off by the cell shading, but that was exactly was turned me on and made me give it a chance. I love this art style; there is something very whimsical about it that just screams epic fantasy story lol. This is really the first Zelda where link shows personality. It gives him a sort of quirky charm that really has been unmatched since. Great story, great diversion and certainly the most innovative of the series. Great sense of adventure and really what lead me to play all the others. Very much underappreciated. Also THE BEST MUSIC FROM ANY OF THE ZELDA's. Koji Kondo's masterpiece as far as I'm concered. Fuck Oot, this takes the cake. Even if you don't like the game, go back and just listen to the score. It's amazing.

  • Oot 2.0 basically. LOL. No but really its like an Oot fans wet dream. Incredible graphics and attention to detail. Sort of a re imagining of the classic dungeons. Great story. Pretty subpar music which was a big letdown, but overall I had a great time with it.

  • Never played the original, but when I got my Wii I got this immediately so that I could. Incredibly ahead of its time. I don't even understand how people beat this game without Faqs. It's ridiculously cryptic, and most of the time they don't even tell you where to go. Very challenging, very fun, amazing game.

  • Probably tied with WW IMO. Never played the original, but played it on the VC. There is something about the SNES that just made everything so great and colorful. So much style, so many cool hidden items. Intense level of difficulty. Just an amazing game. If for any reason you are holding off on this game, but have the chance to play this. Please do so, it's incredible.

  • I remember renting this and beating it. Pretty fun game. Cool to see new ideas thrown into the kirby universe.

  • Remake of the original. Love the music all the powerups. Very fun game.

  • Played on the Snes. Badass game. Really challenging platformer and just plain fun. Sort of a hidden gem.

  • I played the Snes version. And got the shitty ending. The one where you beat the game in 20 min. lololol. Hey she gets out of the mansion safely, what could be happier than that. lol.

  • Really shouldn't of put this on, but I did it for the lulz.

  • beat this in the arcade with a buddy. Took like 20 bucks worth of quarters, so worth it lol.

  • L O L

  • Completed this with my friend. A very enjoyable experience.

  • Shouldn't really count, but the other kids are doing it mommy why can't I. lol

  • Ugh I was young and dumb, and made a bad purchase lol.

  • Wickedly hard game, great music, super nostalgic, love this one.
