It was great to meet everyone, thanks @hellerphant for organising!

Now I feel really dumb for leaving early and not playing CAH with you guys. @wezmon, that card deck is a thing of beauty. Next time for sure, it'd be worth making another trip down to Melbourne. I must say, at the risk of angering fellow Sydneysiders, Melbourne is Awesome!

Let's also try to do a meet up in Sydney, it'd be great to catch up again and meet some more duders.

Thanks again guys, let's keep this rolling.

Great work, thank you for organising. I'll be there, whiskey with 1 ice cube in hand.

I've never met Ryan and yet can't believe how traumatic this feels. He was an amazing person. Losing him feels like losing your best friend.

Thank you Ryan.

So where should we all meet up? I'm in Sydney, not really familiar with Melbourne, if anyone has good suggestions let's pitch them to Jeff and Ryan.

I'll say this regarding the political implications of an article like this. I don't go into writing any story thinking "great, this is an opportunity to push an agenda." It's the same reason one of the stories about #1reasonwhy included a line where I admitted to not considering myself a feminist, even if that statement may be a bit misguided. Rather, I go into every story with "what do I want to say?" if it's an opinion piece and "what story do I want to tell?" if it's a feature piece, like the ZombiU afterthoughts feature that will go up on the site tomorrow. Naturally, expressing my opinion may reveal some of my political leanings, and I'm obviously pretty transparent abou that on Twitter, but to put a muffle over my voice simply because my opinions might lead people to extrapolate a political leaning which might anger people is even crazier.

I don't think you would struggle to consider yourself a feminist or not. Do you believe in equal rights for women? If the answer is Yes, you're a feminist.

Eh. I support equal rights and equal opportunity for EVERYBODY. I'm more of a humanist.

Third-wave feminism has somewhat made people less willing to identify as feminists, and sometimes for very valid reasons that I won't go into here.

Hm. Perhaps the feminist label is a bit misleading. Too much baggage goes along with it, probably because it's women's rights that usually get the short end of the stick. I like humanist.

The last few questions of that survey really wanted me to be a sports guy. Almost made me think I should take up a sport. Nah...

I'd rather wait and pay the full price again. Gotta give the guys some love.

Or is me waiting to renew hurting them in the short run?...
