Game of The Year 2014 Users Choice

So, it's that time of year again. When looking back on this year, one can't help but see a shift from the old consoles to the new. Last year, games would launch on the new consoles lacking some features that were in the old console versions. This year, if anything, the new console games had more features than the PS3/360 version did.

It's also a year when publishers lean heavy remastered games for the new consoles. The Last of Us, GTA V, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, Diablo 3 and many more. I guess it's easier to just upgrade an existing game, than it is to make a completely new game, though I don't think games are generally as good the second time you play, even with better graphics. At the same time, I didn't really get a chance to play many of these games last year, and had fun playing the new version with better graphics.

  The basic idea of Destiny is brilliant. It's a first person massively multiplayer online role playing shooter. However, it's really light on content. I'm not sure if the landmass offered in Destiny is even half of that offered in Skyrim, and only having four areas, it doesn't offer much in variety either. What you play is enjoyable, but it's short on content and to access all the content, you have to grind. A lot.

  10. inFamous: Second Son

  Open world game with super powers. Yours specifically is to absorb powers from others by direct contact, and you get four powers in total, throughout the game. The powers are varied and the neon powerset looks really awesome. However, all of them feel somewhat limited, and I think I would've liked it more if they had focused on one. The story is okay, but not more than that.
