Tbf I was expecting a cool little adventure game about the gritty life as an L.A.. cop, but so far it is just go to crime scene press X when pad rumbles, talk to witness, if they look at you they are telling the truth, if they look away they are lying, choose evidence, drive for far too long with bad clunky driving, choose to do a shooting bad guys mini game, get to end point, case closed.

I was expecting far more adventuring and I was hoping I'd have to use my brain a lot more than I am. But then I guess there is only so much they can do with it being a videogame and all.

@mfpantst: Hmm, that's interesting if it does work with two people logged in at once.

@mfpantst: I doubt it. Xbox live and GFWL are the same. So it would be something else.

DX11 isn't crap. But with a 280, everything maxed you'd not get a consistent 30fps let alone 60. You'd have to turn a lot of stuff down to medium. Not everything, but most.
A 280 still has a lot of power in it. I would have thought the OP would be able to play on reasonably high settings. Dual core CPU might be a bit of a bottleneck, but not much.
Tbf I'm half going by recommended settings and half by what my card is pulling. They expect a phenom x4 or i7 and a HD6000 series/Nvidia equivalent.

I apologise if it has been already posted but 85 comments is a lot to read through after a long day at work... BUT with the thumbnails of the promos when you mouse over, a description is shown, but if that description is too long then it just cuts off and the comment button disappears.
But man, the frontpage looks awesome.

E: Also the friend stream doesn't show my 'friends'. It shows a load of people, whom I know I am not following because I only follow staff, mods, Claude, and Riotbananas.

I'm not sure if I'm excited for that, or whether I am expecting them to ruin it, but I do love those books a whole lot.

@Vitor: Well the Benchmark included with Dirt 3 claims I get an average of about 49 with everything maxed and I am running a HD6870. With Dirt 2 I got 60fps.
Although tbf Fraps tells me I am getting 53. But still.

@dudy80
: Did you play Dirt 2 with that card? If you did you will probably lose 7-10 fps with Dirt 3. If that nets you any lower than 40fps you'll have to turn stuff down. I may be underestimating how powerful a 280 is...
