I have a thing for showing respect to your elders. They know a lot of shit you don't, and just because one of them is working a cash register at Wal-Mart doesn't mean you get to treat them like shit for following the protocol she was obviously instructed to follow.
Bottom line, I'm getting sick and tired of seeing people go "dur dur old people" and treating them like a waste of space when they know a hell of a lot more than you or I do, and that knowledge can be considered invaluable to future obstacles in our lives.
