I don't think I disagree with a lot of the problems mentioned here. I don't think the plot/story of the game is that strong or special.

But props to Starbreeze for being one of the first (if not the first) studios to actually use a game's controls to get its point across. The strength of Brothers comes from the way it makes you feel, and the way it achieves that with the controller you are holding.

I haven't formed an overall opinion about Brothers, but I know that a few moments (especially near the end) are gut-wrenching. Because the game's controls and story are so well connected, those moments have an added, tactile level of depth. I wrote this article to explore specifically how this works during each scene.
