My Favourite Games Of All Time
My favourite games of all time.
My favourite games of all time.
When I put this game in for the first time I was blown away. A massive world for me to explore, full of lush vegetation and towns filled with AI that lived their lives. OK, now it looks very stiff and awkward but back then just the concepts were amazing to me. I didn't even really get the game for the first 10 hours but then all of a sudden I was enthralled and started a brand new game.
Yes, I'm one of those people.
This was my first taste of RPG and I was completely addicted. Levelling up grabbed me unlike other game mechanics in other genres. Then I started to see the interesting characters and story developing in front of my eyes. Loved it.
I heard so much about this game and I decided to try it. I don't know what it is but this game gripped me like no other. I have been so invested in the characters, the storyline and the courtroom drama that I could feel it. Everything about it is pure perfection to me.
I'm not interested in putting sequels in this list but the third Phoenix Wright game set itself apart from the original in such a good way. It's similar only in characters and shared mechanics. The whole storyline is a perfect end to the series, the cases are brilliant, the music is once again fantastic and you get to play as multiple characters.
The first of the Ace Attorney games that was made only for Nintendo DS. When I heard that Phoenix Wright career was over I thought this couldn't possibly be good but actually I think it is one of the best in the series, definitely better than the first 2 and on par with the third. The art looks really great compared the the GBA sprites, the music is once again fantastic and the characters are interesting. Most importantly the over-arching storyline is gripping.
Sure, I hadn't heard of this game before I came to Giant Bomb. Doesn't matter, all I know is that I love this game. I watched the entire endurance run before playing it and still enjoyed my first playthrough.
In a similar fashion to Oblivion, Fallout 3 absorbed me. Sure, it's nothing like Fallout 1 & 2. I still love the way Bethesda make their games and the setting drew me in.
