Future reference, where is the option to turn off youtube videos as a premium member? I really dislike youtube video and would prefer the old player with HD at all times...

I'm really starting to get annoyed with the online pass thing. I can kinda see where the vendors are coming from... "We want to be the only ones making money from our game" but why don't they just all go digital distribution for that point. This is getting a bit ridiculous. Console game is trying to be like PC gaming, where everything is going digital and you cannot trade any games to a friend or sell any of them. Once you use your code, the game is yours, it's like old school PC gaming with "CD Keys" only the CD keys are used up on activation for "special content". Eventually I see this going back to the CD key way, no special content, just buy your CD key on your console, redeem it on your consoles version of a store, and only then once you get your 116 kb activation download can you play your game. Do you own your game? In so far as it's on your console and you can play it. Can you do anything else with it? Sell it? Borrow it to a friend? Share the game with a relative? Nope, not anymore if this current trend continues. That's what makes me nervous, and makes me wonder how much people are going to take before they say "enough is enough" and just quit buying games with ridiculous pre order "ON DISC" DLC, or pass keyed "special content" with a new game.

heh.. U.S. based here, in the frozen wastes of wisconsin. (actually just starting to get cold) and to be honest I haven't heard of many of these companies. I know razer and logitech due to using their prodcuts for years, and microsoft of course as I've had this naturalflex keyboard through 2 machines now, but I'm looking for something a little more performance based I think. The leopold looks rather nice, no idea how it feels, but it might fit the bill. I didn't even know about the different types of switches till i started looking at them a couple weeks ago, when I was planning my new PC. I'm a sad excuse for a tech geek, but I'm trying to get informed again. :P

i'm usually a palmer, with a slight bias towards fingertip but yah, they all kinda seem the same. The thing that drew me to the RAT9 is all the adjustments and the weight setup like the old logitech gaming mouse, really enjoyed that. but a leopold eh? That's one I haven't heard of, going to have to go look at it.

What mouse and keyboard do you use for gaming? My new rig is currently on it's way to me in parts, going to build it this weekend, and I figure since I've spent a good amount of cash so far, might as well go whole hog and buy a gaming keyboard and mouse. My current setup is an ancient Microsoft natural flex keyboard and a Razer Naga. I love the naga, but i'm finding that I don't use the side buttons much in most games, so I am considering a Razer Mamba, but they seem to be hard to get a hold of right now. My next consideration was a R.A.T. 9, just because it looks ridiculously wild and the customization looks nice. Those are the two I've looked at so far, but I am open to other options.

Next I was looking at keyboards, and wether mechanical or normal pressure style is better, and wich people use more for gaming. There is the saitek cyborg, the razer widow, and logitechs massive keyboard that I have been looking at. Also microsofts sidewinder seemed interesting, but I do not really have a use for the removeable keypad.

In general, I'm looking to get thoughts on what people use for their own setups, and any good/bad experiences with various equipment, cause buying online it's hard to find reviews I trust, but I trust the giant bomb community more. ;)

Help is appreciated here, thanks in advance.

Everyone focuses on the realism when I could care less about that.. regenerating health in general annoys me.. "Hit with a 50 cal round, but if i take a few deep breaths, I'm all good" I personally find it an offputting trend in most games, but gaming in general can't be realistic otherwise it wouldn't be any fun, this I understand. What bothers me about it is the reduction of depending on teamwork wich BF prides itself on. That was the original disagreement I had had with someone, and why they so vehemently swore that this would never happen in any capacity what so ever. Here it's happened, even if in a small amount, and that's what has led to my amusement. Like I said, I find it amusing, I just saw this, and yah, it's what I called. Half a year late, or what not, I just saw it now cause I don't pay attention to most BF3/MW3 news cause I'll be playing them both. Well BF3 on console anyways cause I don't feel like dealing with Origin, but that is another can of worms. Angry or not, hostility or not, post whatever, I'm still amused. :P

my bad.. I missed the rage.. I was just amused that a long while ago someone was arguing vehemently that "BF3 will NOT have regenerating vehicles and there is NO WAY they would do that, it's just for the preview so he didn't die and make a fool of himself".. and.. here we are...
