Oh boy, here we go again... This could of been an update to the previous article but NOPE, it needed a new article. Thanks Patrick, gotta get those page hits eh?

@Homelessbird:Oh ok, so you are fighting for woman's equality rights but when they get treated like one of the guys they can cry SEXISM? Double standards.

@langdonx: What would you expect from the xbox generation? I miss when gamers actually had a thick skin.

@Mechabolic said:

@Homelessbird: You would have a point if Aris said this maliciously but he didn't. Watch any footage of him playing/commenting and you will see that this is just another case of Aris being Aris. This was never a problem before and I don't see why this suddenly has become a "thing". Also, this can easily be just an update to the existing article, all that needed to be done was add Aris' response to it. Hell, you can even bump the first article as new again.

You are insane and all of your posting reeks of Men's Rights. You might as well flash your reddit mensrights subforum badge and get it over with. If not, go there and I'm sure you will realize how similar you are.

Women should be treated like one of the guys or it's sexist? Women are treated LESS THAN MEN on a REGULAR BASIS. It's a numerical fact. How can you even fathom that they should be treated like men when they aren't in every other aspect in life? Are you insane?

Way to defend a psycho with a simple wave of the hand and "Aris is just Aris." Yes, we should not condone someone for being creepy as fuck because hey, that's just how he is. You can't blame the guy for wanting to smell a woman on his team, or complimenting all of her individual bodyparts, or asking about her bra size repeatedly, or trying to coax her into wearing a skirt for the internet, or saying out loud that he hopes she is crying in the bathroom after this kind of verbal onslaught. IT'S JUST HOW HE IS. WHAT A WACKY DUDE.

I came to the conclusion that you are insane. You think this kind of thing doesn't exist because clearly you are too engrossed in your own male-centric community to even realize how prevalent it is which while not shocking is an absolute pity as you will probably never grow up and that's just too bad for the rest of us.

@depecheload: You're right, that's my bad. I am still astounded that someone would financially support Giantbomb and think "AHA! Now this is my chance to finally put those transpeople in their place!"

@Zokari: You are born one sex (usually...and he was).

If you're a male you're more than free to "be" female if you want, but you can not change that you were born with a penis, testicles, and a Y chromosome.

Saying someone can't factually refer to you as "he" anymore is fucking absurd. And frankly if genders are so unimportant anyway, why get so up in arms over calling someone by their genetic sex?

Are you fucking KIDDING ME.

We are in the midst of a debate against sexism and misogyny and now you feel privy to drag around the corpse of TRANSPHOBIA AROUND TOO?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GIANTBOMB?

@UnAbel: Here's the problem: If we ignore the problem now, it will never go away.

It's irreverent if these kinds of remarks are made around friends or not, although I think you would be hard pressed to find most men in the fighting game community threatening to smell their friends if they lose a match, or that they will go out of their way to buy them a skirt so they can show off their thighs to an internet stream; things of this nature are exclusive to women and by definition are sexist. If I was friends with someone like that, I would think twice about being friends with them. That someone else doesn't in no way means that they should be okay with it, either.

This kind of discussion is important to foster change, not to be buried alongside other "awkward" topics of conversation.

Everyone saying shame on Aris and poor Yan didn't watch the stream and has only read what was posted here by the article writer. 4 days ago people in the gaming community started making comments about how bad the sexual harassment was. One gamer with a decent following made a comment about how it was a shame to see the sexual harassment go down on the stream and Yan and Aris both said it's all in fun, no one was offended and they went on to trash talk that person for even bringing it up. The gaming community went on to say that this type of treatment is to be expected and is nothing new so people shouldn't make a big deal of it. Yan continued to laugh every time Aris said responding with her bra side, talking about guys she's hooked up with, etc. At that point she had a chance to stop Aris from making the situation worse, and she went with it encouraging the behavior. Everyone gave her props and called her a "strong woman who can handle the crap Aris threw at her". 3 days later she's crying saying that she didn't know what to do or how to handle it and she just couldn't handle the sexual harassment anymore. At any point in time she could have simply told Capcom that she wanted to leave and she could do so. To claim they're holding her hostage is her trying to look like a helpless victim. All she had to do is tell Capcom that she felt uncomfortable and to tell Aris to stop and they would have to step in. It's in their best interest legally to do so. If she felt uncomfortable she would have just played and not responded to anything Aris said instead of laughing at it, answering his inappropriate questions and talking about Korean penis size. Capcom did step in because of the viewer complaints, and he was talked to, but due to Miranda being ok with it Aris saw no reason to stop. Yan is not a victim in this situation, she was a willing participant.

I do not think what Aris did was right, don't get me wrong. It was wrong of him to act like this, but to blame Aris 100% and throw stones at him and say ooh poor Yan is showing you know nothing of what actually happened. Aris is like that, she knew that going into this. She was sexually harassed, it was brought up, and she clearly said she was ok with it. She then 3 days later forfeits the show due to sexual harassment? It's clear here she's looking for attention. She had the opportunity to put a stop to it and she didn't. There were so many other deserving gamers who could have had her spot, so for her to do what she did is a slap in the face to everyone who applied and got turned down.

It doesn't matter if anyone said that they were "okay" with being sexually harassed. The fact that someone was sexually harassed is BAD. THAT is where it should end. NONE OF THE REST OF THIS MATTERS. There is NO REASON that ANYONE should be sexually harassed. I don't GIVE A SHIT if someone is LIKE THAT. TELL THEM THEY ARE WRONG. CALL THEM OUT ON IT. DO NOT LET IT CONTINUE TO EXIST. THAT YOU EVEN THINK IT'S OKAY TO SAY THAT HER SPOT WAS "UNDESERVED" OR THAT "SOMEONE ELSE COULD HAVE FILLED HER SHOES BETTER" SEEKS TO UNDERMINE THE PROBLEM AT HAND, WHICH IS BLATENT MISOGYNY IN THE GAMING COMMUNITY.

Holy CRAP all this article has done is showcase how horrible the misogyny in the gaming community, THE gaming community, not the fighting game community, or the Starcraft community, the entirely of gaming, really is. MAGNETO WAS RIGHT.

Cliff's Notes version of this article: "It's a really slow news day, so here's some people who like to look for things to be offended by, so they can complain about it to hear their own voices and maybe get some attention. Also, they probably get off when random people on the internet agree with them." Sorry that the competitve gaming world calls each other bitches and pussies to get in each others' heads. Sorry that someone thinks that will not change anytime soon. Please go back to sucking on Susan B Anthony's decaying tit so no one has to listen to you bitch about unimportant things like they matter in the slightest.

You are part of the problem.

@DrX25: Thing is, my first point directly relates to what you're talking about.

If the writers and Brian Gerwitz weren't so plum bad at their job that they had to throw in Smackdown Superstars for what's essentially a Raw title shot match, and if it wasn't Gerwitz hat trick Battle Royal match they wouldn't have to worry about doing stupid spots to give Jericho what we already knew he'd get. I mean look at that match, there are several other injuries that happen during the course of it. R-Truth falls off awkwardly, Kofi almost pancakes Vickie, Cody puts his whole body on the line, and of course Big Show the lumbering giant, throwing Ziggler too far on the ANNOUNCE TABLE SIDE OF THE RING causing Wade's shoulder to be dislocated.

All of this could have been avoided if they took hot passing Jericho the title shot a LOT slower.

So yes. I don't think a Battle Royal match should in any way be routine as it needlessly puts people in to harms way. See: R-Truth last week and Wade this week. And while Big Show is at some fault here, WWE isn't completely impervious to blame either. They're hardly this shining pinnacle of protection for any of the wrestlers.

None of Sonic Heroes. Oh, wait. Also I think Sonic 3 just got bunched in with Sonic 3 + Knuckles, maybe a little unfairly considering there is a Sonic Heroes stage.

Sonic 1 - Spring Yard Zone

Sonic 2 - Mystic Cave

Sonic CD - Wacky Workbench

Sonic Adventure 2 - Pumpkin Hill

Legit Anything From Shadow the Hedgehog

Sonic 2k6 - Radical Train

Sonic Colors - Sweet Mountain

Just gonna bump this up in hopes that a staff member sees this.

Especially since games like Saints Row and such are getting the practically-mute game audio treatment lately. :(
