Completed Games

You're all interested in the games I've finished right? No?! Ah well, this list will soldier on regardless.

This was sparked by the completion of Indigo Prophecy, which, rather unexpectedly, became the first game I finished in Twenty Ten. Such completions might prompt a review... but don't count on it.

List Created: 20th February 2010

List items

  • I wish I was able to play this through on a more robust platform. I finished the game on PS4 Pro, which seems to be the strongest of the last-gen consoles (but that isn't saying much). There's enough there for a recommendation but it could have been so much more.

I hope it's able to redeem itself but having put 50 hours into the game there is a TON of work needed that I suspect will take until the end of 2021 at least.

  • All the time I was playing this game I had the urge to write up a review; partly because my opinion of the game was so mixed from the middle to end. There were moments were I questioned myself if I really wanted to continue playing. Perhaps it was the truly gripping beginning that kept me going, but, I can honestly say this game does have some both mind-numbing and exhilarating sequences.

I would pass on a recommendation with the positivity that only a three-star review could provide.

  • I've added this game to my list, simply because I won't be visiting it much anymore. I got the Burnout License, and although I could continue to play through it and get the Burnout Elite, the game isn't exactly proving be much incentive to do so.

Take the word 'finished' to be subjective. As far as I'm concerned, I'm done. Maybe I'll be back when this out-dated gaming rig of mine gets an upgrade (or a replacement), but as University life looms, this seems unlikely.

For those who've never played a Burnout game (which on this website I expect isn't many) it's an absolute blast that you simply must play. The sandbox element of the game is fantastic and the sense of speed the game provides is like nothing I've ever experienced.

Jeff pegs this game firmly at the five-star milestone. Although the game certainly has the merits to warrant such a score. I feel that ultimately the lack of incentive to finish the game to the end leaves it for me at a highly respectable four-star recommendation.

  • Like many RPG games that I play now, it takes me a while to get into them. This particular one took almost 6 attempts of the opening missions before I got into it one Easter holiday. My patience turned out to be worth it, as this is a really nice game and includes the kind of art style that I have become rather partial to.

Like Jeff though, the whole shooting a guy in the head and straight up missing does slightly annoy me. However, the Fallout team have gone to length to make this more bearable.

For me, the beginning of the game lacked guidance and the fact that you have to play the good guy in the beginning of the game in order to actually get anywhere leads me to place four stars to the Fallout 3 name.

Now, to finish some of the DLC I bought, before New Vegas comes out.

  • Yeah, bought it for nostalgia. Well worth it.

Five Stars!... Ha, I'm joking. You should only play this if you had it as a child on the Playstation One.

  • Even by the target of finishing one game a month I'm still not doing well. Still, Bioshock is another to add to the list and like Jeff mentioned in his review, this whole story they created for this second instalment feels super tacked on. I mean, you could play this sequel without having played the first. However, if your a fan of the first you could be better off not playing this game at all. There really is no need. It's apparent that the first Bioshock was not designed for a sequel and as a result at times I feel like I was playing DLC. In conclusion though, everything is solid, fun and the story is still enjoyable to play through. 4 Stars.

  • 23/02/2011 Having already played through I was much more ready to play a Fallout game this time. I bought the game at launch, put close to 20hours into it and a found myself at a crossroads between who I was going...(spoilers)...support for the final battle. Being totally unable to deicide and frustrated that I couldn't help everyone I just abandoned it. 4 months later and I start a new game; I flew through it clocking up 23hours of game time and finishing it in just 4days. Will I go back and plug the lose ends? Will I get the DLC? Maybe, I mean I really should have been finishing coursework than playing this. Lets see, review score? I guess it'd have to be 4 Stars, if only for the fact the ending of the game is so committal. Why couldn't I just help everyone.

  • 25/02/2011 Having left Dead Space 1 interested to hear about how the story would progress I was initially disappointed in the opening sequence. From then on I found it hard to follow and I really only knew what I was doing by way of the locator system. Somehow the final boss battle and ending saved it for me and when the time comes I'm sure I'll be playing Dead Space 3. All reminds me a little too much of the Halo story though. 4 Stars.

  • 20/04/11

  • 20/01/12 Hit 50, finished a story arc with a bounty hunter. Will revisit from time to time, but it didn't turn out to be as much of a time sink as I thought it would be. Shame really, I was actually quite looking forward to spending a couple of years into it.

  • 20/04/12 Blew through it in co-op mode.

  • Worst. Ending. Evar.

  • Kinda neat.

  • It's Bioshock, all over again! And that's a really good thing. I forgot how much I loved the art style of the bioshock video games. Seriously, I probably prefer this style to something of Deux Ex or even Dead Space. To be honest I'm a little disappointed by the sky rails system, if anything it just showed how you were just moving from battlefield to battlefield. The story was so satisfying that I've actually stopped thinking about it. However, I will be having a go at 1999 mode.

5 Stars. This will probably be the best game of the year, especially since Star Wars 1313 just got cancelled.

  • They straight up ruined Dead Space. The first game was probably the most exciting and scary horror video game I ever played and I absolutely loved it, I was completely invested in the fiction. Between game's 2 & 3 it kinda ruined it for me. Issac started talking and it all went downhill from there. It was a enjoyable ride as a co-op game, but shouldn't have been a co-op game. The reusing of level design was the scariest thing in the whole game.

    Definitely 3 Stars.

  • Sequels. I keep buying them and they just keep disappointing me. Borderlands 1 is a game I played through multiple times and I was completely invested in it. I can't even remember the end of this one.

    3 Stars.

  • I loved playing this. Forced me to make tough choices that actually connected with me emotionally. The highlight video game of my 2012 Christmas.

    5 Stars

  • Played this through with my brother over Christmas 2012, really quite enjoyed it. Wish I had an Xbox to get super invested in the multiplayer.

    Definitely a 4 Star game
