Anathem

My rules of engagement with Steam sales:

1) Wait for something to be the daily deal before buying.

2) If I want something that doesn't become a daily deal - get it on the last day.

3) If I haven't heard of it before - I don't need it now.

I'm playing the first at the moment and I'm really struggling with it. The world is just so bleak. I'm ok with dark, but this is depressing and the town at that point in the game is ugly - not tech-wise, but as in it's like a big slum.

I'm on chapter 2, though, so hopefully it's just a slow start. There's so much love for this game, that I'll dig a little further :)

On the way to the store I saw a lot of bus ads and posters saying May 20 on them but I'm pretty sure the JB site said the 19th so we still checked it out.

Take all the time you need, Bioware. I don't need another DA2.

Only twice so far.  Working on making it THRICE.
 
Import paragon male Shep Soldier on Veteran. (slighly imperfect ending)
Import paragon male Shep Vanguard on Harcore.  (perfect ending)
Currently playing non-imported Renegade femShep Infiltrator on Insanity. 
 
Realising that Jennifer Hale is, in fact, awesome, I have gone back and played ME1 a fifth time to bring a femShep through. 
 
I don't have a Mass Effect problem. I can quit any time I want.

Same problem here on a Mac in all browsers. PC is fine.
