You can skip on finishing Saints Row 2.  It's not like you need to find out how the riveting story ends.

They should just take out primetime animated series from the series of awards.  Cartoons are for kids, folks... and they already have a "Outstanding children's animated show" award.
 
Also... critics need to get off 30 Rock's dick.

Psychonauts, so you can see why Tim Schafer is awesome before you play Brutal Legend.
 
After that... go for Shadow of the Colossus.

For games I'm unsure of, I check Giant Bomb, 1up, and occasionally IGN to see whether the game is worth it.  I also usually see who reviewed the game, as I know which editors I tend to agree with.

I play all my multiplatform games on 360 and keep my PS3 for exclusives.  I occassionally get a multiplatform game on my PS3 if my PS3 friends are going to play it online more often than my 360 friends.
 
It really just depends on which set of friends are going to be playing the game more often.
