@laserbolts: I did not read your post atleast not all of it. now i finally did.
Your 60gb ps3 is normal for it to be loud. Everybodys fat ps3 is the same. Turns loud. Even my old fat 40gb is thats why I got a slim now. Fat ps3 is flawed. Do not buy in excuse of your own fault that you put in low venturelation area. I mean it is half true and half false. Saying it is 100% owners fault is not true.
Fat ps3 is known for loud noise and ylod. No matter where you put your ps3, outside or inside a cooler it will still have ylod due to the stuff inside melts easily. I put my ps2 in a bottom shelf where the ass toward 2 inches away from the wall for over 9 years and it is still fine in fact im still playing my ps2 sometimes. When I got my fat ps3 i stick it in the bottom shelf too and very small space that everytime i play for 40min I wave my hands on the area and it was smoking warm!!!!!!! so yes putting the ps3 in low venturelation is the reason..... TOO! but it is not entirely. the saying that it is entirely cause of that is just to save face from faults.
the percent of fault blame goes like this.... 19% owners fault for putting it in low venturelation and 81% of hardware fault.
I have a slim and I am very careful. I put it face the ass to the side to let it breath fresh air instead of toward the wall.
Why do you ask your problem here? it is like hijacking my topic but ok.
